Not that PopWatch needs an excuse to revisit the video for Eddy Grant's awesomely catchy 1983 hit, "Electric Avenue," but seeing that the singer himself turns 59 years old today, wouldn't it border on shameful if we didn't rock down to the address in question? Thanks for the flashback... When this video came out, people kept coming up to me in school and saying "Wow, the little girl in that video looks just like you did when you were that age" over and over (sadly, they were right!)

Glad to know Eddy Grant is still with us. Electric Avenue has a catchy beat but it also has an important message about poverty and human needs. Thanks Eddy!
