Cool to see someone draw attention to this song! I saw her perform live recently, heard this song, and instantly dug it. Thanks for letting other people know about it.

I think it may be due in small part to the fact that it's a story song, and there aren't many of those that make it on the radio. On the other hand, radio sucks, so that's no biggie.

This song is a throwback style to early 70s. It's not bad but people aren't listening to stories (like billy joel songs) anymore. So I vote for A, because it's oh-so-true and E, because it's not the best song I've ever heard.

I think it may have failed because the public has come to trust Train with trite, overwritten lyrics and melody. But maybe that's just me.

This is an OK song. Nothing can compete with "Supermodel." Now that was a perfect, catchy, pop-perfect, radio-friendly song! Either way, she's still awesome in my eyes too!

Michael, there are always songs that I hear I wish were hits. Back in the 80's, Lone Justice and early Bangles had great songs that didn't make it. THat's radio!

It seem the music business is not for the faint of heart. Really, what mainstream radio station would play this kind of (great) music. And outlet for inventive music doesnt exist except maybe college radio or World Cafe. I've loved Jill Sobule since her "Pink Pearl" album. She, like Aimee Mann, do it on their own (Aimee releases her music on her own label "SuperEgo Records"). Speaking of fabulous music, Rosanne Cash's "Black Cadillac" is brilliant stuff. Why isnt SHE big too?

Poor Jill and other notable, highly talented artists are forced to put out their own music and stand aside while the hideous Simpsons, over-rated Hilton and pathetic Lohan are all on the charts...oh, don't forget the whiney, over-produced, hollow sounds of 'sensitive guys with eye-liner and girl jeans' music. If you are looking for the real deal, I suggest cdbaby.com or other former 'big label', now indie artists like Tegan & Sara, Casey Stratton, Aimee Mann, Cat Power, etc. etc.

Maybe Jill is destined to forever only be associated with her somewhat-mainstream hit "I Kissed a Girl." No matter that she has a great voice and sings other catchy tunes.
