Canadian researchers presented a set of breast-cancer estimations based on a series of studies. Apparently, women with a vitamin D deficiency at the time of their diagnose are 94% more likely to have their cancer metastasize and 73% are more likely to die within the next 10 years.

Even though many specialists, including Dr. Joanne Mortimer, a breast cancer specialist at City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in Duarte, think of the results as very provocative and positive, they all agree that it is too soon to start recommending the vitamin as a general treatment for breast cancer, as many more tests are still needed.

Over the years, vitamin D has been linked to a large number of different treatments for a wide variety of diseases, amongst which diabetes, muscle pain, depression, heart diseases, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and strokes.

Specialists suggested that women willing to try the vitamin D approach to their treatment must first have their vitamin D levels checked to make sure that the amount is within the recommended proportions.

Just saw that comment about Con's so-called responses to his "older" fans...I don't expect Con to adore, love, or fawn all over me, either in person or online. I'm HIS fan, not the other way round, and I don't expect any celebrity to always say the "right thing". I've only seen Con perform in person once, my whole family was in the third row, and he was overwhelmingly powerful on stage. It's possible he's said some unfortunate things online or in person (and who hasn't??) but I don't really care. I support him as a performer, I don't care to know anything else about his personal life or his online behavior. I think too much is known about celebrities these days, and I don't seek out that garbage. Constantine has impressed me and my family with his performances, and we're happy to call ourselves his fans.

I've been a fan of Constantine since American Idol. His career is TAKING OFF!!! He's talented in so many different areas, it's hard to pick a favorite. The Wedding Singer's audience SOARED when he began his part, now he's taken the LEAD in Jacques Brel starting in January for six weeks, his CD will be released early in 2007, followed by a tour, and TV is still interested in him, etc. etc... the man has it all and more! I believe Constantine's career will be a lifelong one, the doors of opportunity are continuing to open for him, and it's WELL DESERVED. I think a lot of these "haters" are jealous! But regardless of them, those of us who LOVE HIM are out here and will support him with our wallets and our presence in the audience (as, I'm willing to bet, will some of these so-called haters). Just when I thought I'd wandered into the freakin' Twilight Zone or something, I spotted the "Chris Daughtry" comment in the middle of all this mess. Which made me laugh. And confirmed that I have somehow wandered into an alternate dimension of space & time. Think I'll go home now.

Too bad there are so many insane losers with nothing better to do with their miserable lives than stalk a third-rate, moderately talented, reality show loser. Especially since they're also in their forties and fifties and actually think the object of their affections cares an iota about.

It's hard to find a decent picture of Constantine, true, but he is a tool who mocks his fans at every given opportunity. He even calls them bitter whores.

The staff at EW needs their collective heads examined lumping Constantine with those two georgous men. I'm so sorry it came with psychotic idiots who had nothing better to do than salivate over a greasy loser at the expense of their real lives. These women are very sick, indeed.

Constantine is a beautiful person both inside and out. What an honor for him to be known so well that his hairstyle is given his name. There's one thing about Constantine, whether it be lover or hater, they fill the board with comments. And ya know what? That's not a bad thing. If there comes a time when there's nothing written on a board such as this, that's when I'll worry. So carry on, let's fill this board for Constantine! Let's show how very strong the interest level in Constantine remains.

Somebody here said the hair do should be called after the one who wears it the best. If so, to call it the Constantine, is indeed the correct option. Not only he started it all but he also wears it the best. By the way, best is a very appropriate adjective for Constantine,as he also was the best in that silly show called American Idol. And today he is the best singer around.

Constantine es un gran artista, con un gran sentido de la moda, lo que se ponga le queda bien, como se peine se ve genial, casi todo lo que canta se oye bien.

Lost will never be lost to me as long as Desmond is on it with his Constantine. My only problem is the name--really, shouldn't it be the Desmond? Or, I guess, the Henry Ian? Even if Constantine got it first, I say name it after the guy who wears it the best.
