What's your favorite TV romance music video?

1508__prison_l Admit it: You've watched a YouTube music video of your favorite TV couple. No, it's okay. We have, too. It's only embarrassing if you keep it locked up inside!

My first so-cheesy-it's-good video was a Jim and Pam one I caught over the summer. I thought ''Oh, fun, what a good idea'' and then forgot about it. But a not very extensive search this afternoon indicates there are MILLIONS of others, and more than one set to the most desperate-sounding of Coldplay songs.

There's a slew of Kate and Sawyer from Lost, Meredith and Derek (I refuse to use the term ''McDreamy'') from Grey's, Chloe and Clark from Smallville -- even Benji and Donyelle from So You Think You Can Keep Your Face Animated For Three Months Straight?

Our favorite today is of Prison Break's Michael and Sara, set to ''I Love You Always Forever'' by Donna Lewis. I especially appreciate the light pink script informing us of the song choice and general theme, ''I love you.'' If you've never seen Prison Break but feel like you should based on how you keep hearing about how hot this Wentworth Miller (pictured) is, videos like this one are highly recommended. There's also one set to Sarah McLachlan's ''Building a Mystery.'' And Madonna's ''Crazy for You,'' and Backstreet Boys' ''Crawling Back to You''... and, I'm getting dizzy.

Yes, the videos are amateurish, but they're so well-intentioned and more palatable than most of the crap videos on MTV these days. Actually, I'm pretty sure the main reason I'm delighted by the TV music vids is because I love thinking of these incredibly sappy songs randomly blasting out of people's cubes at work. Someone could easily walk by, make a face, and say ''Wow, Annie, cool. Lifehouse.''

C'mon, 'fess up.

Chloe Sun, Oct 15, 2006 at 02:20 AM EST

YAY, someone(Illy) understands my Shep/Weir love, not that the shippers are lacking cause they have a huge following. I would do more Shep/Weir but most of the vids are so not on youtube. Moving on to another pairing that probably no one will know.

Youtube is heaven for TV addict like ourselves....
I can't begin to recommend good music videos, there are so many... Especially the Chlark ones. Kuddos to all the beautiful filmamakers!
LoVe, MiSa are nice to watch too... and, can you feel the Winchester's love?

Illy Sat, Oct 14, 2006 at 01:23 AM EST

Ok, so I officially understand Weir and Sheppard (Chloe), *adored* the Supernatural vid (jyoti). "My Immortal" was a perfect song for the Winchesters. Any more recs for them? And Chloe and Clark (DC and CHloe Fan) - "Saving me" and the Vessel Montage! Perfectly done.

illy Sat, Oct 14, 2006 at 12:41 AM EST

Anyone have a fave Denny/Izzy vid to rec? I just can't take Meredith/Derek anymore.

Chloe Fri, Oct 13, 2006 at 11:30 PM EST

Yeah, so no one will probably know the couple I'm talking about, but who cares. I love Sheppard/Weir (Stargate Atlantis) videos.
This one, my favorite.

Okay you can go back to talking about Chlark. I do love them too.

DC Fri, Oct 13, 2006 at 09:46 PM EST

Chlark vids are my favorite, too. Some talented editors really capture the intricate dynamic of love and friendship between them. My picks:

Monica_O Fri, Oct 13, 2006 at 07:14 PM EST

I checked every video you recommended and I have to say.. I love Chlark :D.
This ship has some of the best videomakers, not only in youtube but in several Smallville forums.
The work done in this ship is a work of love, and it shows :).

ChibiHoshi Fri, Oct 13, 2006 at 07:03 PM EST

Though I adore the Chlark I will have to say the BEST vidder (romance or not) is Becky. I just wish she did more than Lex and Chlex oriented vids; I would be in heaven.

mark Fri, Oct 13, 2006 at 03:59 PM EST

Everyone!! Please answer me if you can! I used to love to watch videos from youtube all the time but then once my whole comp got ruined from a virus and I honestly and almost definitely think it was from something I watched (happened to be a Pam & Jim video)...Does everyone think they r safe? Is it ok to go back and watch again?

Alicia Fri, Oct 13, 2006 at 09:06 AM EST

Lifehouse makes me want to kill myself.

Dave Fri, Oct 13, 2006 at 08:36 AM EST

The other day I definitely watched clips from the movie Latter Days set to some Lindsay Lohan song. Wow, I can't believe I just admitted that. I either need to start drinking or start therapy. Or both.

anita Fri, Oct 13, 2006 at 08:14 AM EST

I second the poster that says there are alot of good videos for Sonny/Brenda, Todd/Vangie and Nick/Phyllis from the soap world.
My favorite right now is the history of Nick and Phyllis by Oceanview.

Linda Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 10:07 PM EST

There are a ton on soap opera people too. Sonny and Brenda from General Hospital, Tangie from One Life to Live and Nick/Phyllis from Y&R

Maya Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 07:54 PM EST

lots of olivia and elliot from svu and a hilarious one of olivia and alex
speaking of svu someone at ew needs to put that on tv watch really

Jyoti Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 07:42 PM EST

One of my favorite youtube montages isn't even a couple. It's the Brothers Winchester from Supernatural. Anyone who watches the show will get how perfectly the music fits the scenes and how great this montage is overall. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APF1pvg_RxE

Last summer, I discovered Veronica Mars. I saw the repeats for season 2. I tried to find clips for season 1. I was also looking for videos the Office. Both were buried under a mountain of scored love videos. These two shows have the best dialogue on TV. It would have been better to see the original scenes than watch the actors lips move to a sappy emo band.

nicole Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 06:27 PM EST

MagicalThreeTV on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=magicalthreetv) makes some of the most impressive trailers for certain Ron/Hermione fanfictions. (Me? Geek? Why yes.)

Liked the Benjelle (Benji and Donyelle) video but there are a SLEW of others that you need to watch. Some a little better than this one.

Anywho, thanks for just mentioning Benjelle. Luv them!

Maggie Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 05:44 PM EST

ALL the Logan and Veronica ones. No one but Tanner Stransky isn't rooting for those crazy kids.

G Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 04:59 PM EST

There was a great video of Clark and Lana set to NSYC's "Falling"

Quentin-Alexandre Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 04:46 PM EST

Yeah, Lifehouse kills, and it was even mentioned in the series finale for Six Feet Under. Meta.
Anyway, the best you tube video? LoVe : Logan & Veronica Mars, to the tune of Sway, by the perishers. That's right, Veronica Mars all the way. There's just one Lifehouse tune away from Tv heaven...

Josh Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 04:28 PM EST

Google actually bought youtube, just CBS is the first "partner" to try its new search method that will allow CBS to either take down the clip or add an advertisement. So depending on how zealous they are about copyrights, if this search method works, all videos using clips from shows might all of a sudden be gone, just like that. Enjoy them while you can people.

Ed Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 04:23 PM EST

There are tons of them for Sex and the City - cheesy.

I second what Josh said, CBS is going to ruin YouTube. But if I were the creators, I would sell out too for billion bucks.

Kane Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 04:20 PM EST

THis one is my FAVORITE LOST one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEpKMqICZgE&eurl=

More Jim and Pam vids Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 04:07 PM EST

Check out the batch of Jim/Pam vids over at OfficeTally! :)

Josh Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 03:45 PM EST

Too bad youtube's new filtering technique that CBS will be testing first is going to make this an extinct art(?)form.

Luis Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 03:41 PM EST

For all those Veronica Mars Fans out there, the best video is one of Veronica and Logan set to the music of Sia's "Breathe Me" aka..the song used in the very last episode of Six Feet Under. Totally Amazing!

Stephanie Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 03:38 PM EST

The video with The Fray for Grey's Anatomy was cool, but it was not romantic.

The Other Kyle Thu, Oct 12, 2006 at 03:24 PM EST

Lifehouse rules.
