I have heard the new single from Beyonce on the radio. When I heard it I really wasn't fond of it at all, but I thought about the first time I heard Crazy In Love I felt the same way about it, but it became a major hit. Beyonce is NOT screaming. She is an accomplished singer with a 4 octave range...Period. Christina has the same range, but with a more powerful register. These are two wonderful artists, and there should be no competition. They make good music. Just appreciate their work...but it's not fair to attack them. They are still people, and they have feelings too. At the end of Beyonce's song, she is singing what is called, "Full Voice", and Christina does it ALL the time. Hello...anyone remember "Dirrty"? So stop hating on the both of them. I love them both, buy both of their albums...THEY both like each other. So why are the public so nasty and diminuitive? It's ridiclous. We should behave better than this as a people. And by the way...if you don't know music...then don't accuse anyone of yelling. I think this song is a good comeback song. True it's not her best song ever, but I had the same feeling about "Lose My Breath" when it first came out and eventually it grew on me, especially when the video came out & the girls were dancin their behinds off! :) I think that Beyonce is singing in a higher range as a challenge for herself. Otherwise, we would be bored with her. For those of us who are musically inclined we respect her for the change. I recognize that it takes serious vocal control to do what she did on this track.

Beyonce single is going to go to the top of the charts, as well as her album. Becuz well she's Beyonce. I do feel that this single is much like "Its like that" was for Mariah Carey's album. It led to a much better second single "We Belong Together". It doesnt always take a killer first sinle for an established artist. The second and third single is where they can really pick up steam. This song is good enough to get people listening to her and eager about her Album. Then booms he will release the killer second single alllegedly "Ring the Alarm" And all hell will break loosse. Similiar to how the world shifted on its axis when "We Belong Together" Dropped. It may need to grow on some people. But thats how "Crazy In Love" was. Many people hated that song initially but it had growing power. So dont count Beyonce out just now. I like the song though. Christina's song is good too. But its true Gnarles Barkley and Nelly Furtado have all but sealed off the summer anthem competition.

I don't know what y'all heard, but I heard another "Crazy in Love"! I mean, it might not be as big, cause "CiL" was her debut, but I think it's tight and catchy.
I also love Christina's song, I really don't know what y'all don't like about the songs. Ah well, to each their own. Gnarls Barkeley has an Outkast feel, and not everybody likes that kinda stuff. I see the summer songs being Christina's, Beyonce's and Nelly Furtado's.

I hate this song - just heard it on B96 in Chicago. It is not melodic at all. The best part of the song is when Jay-Z raps.

Christina's song is hot. We love it here in Chicago. They are playing it like crazy!

I too agree that Christina's new song is weak weak weak! Haven't heard it debuted at the local gay club - THAT'S A BAD SIGN! It's not danceable, nor is it divaish.

How long until the remix version comes out!

I agree with Scott. Upon the first (and second and third) listen, I was immediately transported to 1991 when this song could have easily been recorded by, um, Jody Watley, Vanessa Williams, CeCe Peniston or Patti LaBelle. They're all fine artists, however even they would say this sounds dated and would prolly just keep it on the album but not make it a single. It's so dated that even Jay-Z can't bring it into the new millenium and why is she literally screaming toward the end. I love Beyonce and eagerly look forward to "Dreamgirls" however I'm good without hearing this... alright, Janet, whaddagot?

p.s. Christina's song is weak too. Get over it. It's weak!
