The Emin-actor picks his next movie

10128__eminem_l Did someone ask: Will the Real Slim Shady please remake Have Gun, Will Travel as a feature film? I don't think so, but it's happening anyway.

Who knew Marshall Mathers was a closet Richard Boone fan? But don't expect a dusty Western; they're updating it so the story revolves around a modern bounty hunter. Too bad. I'd have liked to see Em strap on a sixer and a sarape.

So it's official. He's an Emin-actor. Shady showed some serious chops in 8 Mile, so it's not exactly unwelcome. Still, I'd advise him to beware the sophomore outing. Remember The Care Bears Movie 2? It got a long, censurious Care Bear Stare from the the American public. Everyone was like: Go back to Care-a-Lot; stick with what you know.

Insta-poll time, people! Eminem: Classic Cowboy or Eminem: Modern Cowboy? (Feel free to write in Eminem: Care Bear.)

first off...8mile did amazing considering it was his first film, ask 50 how well his flick did, and second, hes probably goin to be considered the best rapper of all time when he decideds to put the mic down, so out of respect for that, he can do that he wants. and eminem being an image??cmon lets be serious, hes never changed, what he is, is what you get...and we all know that, the movie will be good if not great and probably give him more film opportunities in the future being that he can play an array of different characters

He played HIMSELF in "8 Mile", not exactly a stretch

Just what we need more rappers turning into actors. Enough already!

I like the green ones the best.

I'd warn the brother against making a movie about a bounty hunter. Midnight Run, Domino, and All About the Benjamins sucked, while decent bounty hunter flick (okay, Bail bondsman flick) Jackie Brown is the least appreciated of the tarrantino movies. Could it be the public finds bounty hunters unsympathetic?

I think he'd be good in pretty much anything - I think there is some depth there. As for Ed and his comments that he is just a product of a talented producer - I think you are pretty far off base - Eminem has never been accused of not being able to rap.

Should be good. Marshall won't be in something that's bad - he's got street cred to protect. I vote for Eminem: Modern Cowboy.

How about Eminem The Midnight Cowboy! Time to step down Jon Voight--he could be the new blonde "piece".

Hmmm, Ratso...there's no one like Hoffman I'm afraid--the mind won't even entertain a replacment.

For an example of a second movie, you came up the Care Bears? As far as an actor, we've only seen Eminem as one character.

Okay, sometimes Scott, I think you need to warn us when you're going to be so funny. I often read Popwatch with my morning coffee and it's just not cute- or too professional, either- for me to be spitting up my coffee onto my keyboard. I just can't be laughing like this at work. Eminem + Care Bears = Embarassing mess for me.

I'm sure he'll do great.

I believe Em is a great actor!

I never believed that he was a rapper by trade; he was a great concoction by Dr. Dre. Pretty much like Dreamgirls, put together by a talented producer - Em's all image. If he can pull off his tough guy image for hip-hop, he can do it also as an actor.
