Radiohead's live workshop

152850__yorke_lMany years ago, I got to meet the guys from Radiohead and found them to be nice, modest, charming, polite Englishmen -- this was after they had established themselves as electrifying live performers but before they had become Reluctant Rock Messiahs. I'm not sure they've ever managed to save rock & roll, but I did always appreciate that they do things their own way, which now includes touring next month with a setlist of new songs but no album release. Today, the band announced dates and venues where you can hear Thom Yorke (pictured) and the boys perform their yet-unheard music. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at their website. Meanwhile, you can watch their progress toward recording the new album via photos on Radiohead's Dead Air Space blog.

No way. Clay Aiken's the one who looks like Thom Yorke. Too bad Clay doesn't possess Thom's genius (though, he does have a nicer voice and a cheerier personality).

Yeah, that guy DOES look like Clay Aiken. Before I read the text, I thought it was him.

Seriously, I really did think that was Clay Aiken for a second.

No, it's not Clay Aiken, it's Martin Short's little brother.

I LOVE radiohead. They are consistantly unique, and always take risks. For those of you that didn't love Kid A...you can't deny that it took very large cahones to put it out! No other band has followed up great sucess with such risky, untraditional material.

Thom's lyrics always keep you thinking, and his melodies are haunting. Love 'em! (Saw them at Red Rocks in Colorado a few years ago, and it was the best concert I have EVER been to.)

Is that Clay Aiken?

Hey! I'm an arthouse snob and I hated Kid A. ;)

(Man, I hate slow days on the Popwatch)

Oh my God I love Radiohead!!! Except for Kid A (music for arthouse snobs).
