Oh, I just saw America's next top model and Gina was elimainated, I cried for like, 10 minutes, and then I saw on some internet that Dainelle was the winner, Gina is a great model with high cheekbones (as all the judges were saying), I can't belive she was elimanited when she improved so much, Brooke should had went!!!!! I see a lot portentioals in Gina than Brooke! I really would love her to win... i mean Nnenna, but at the same time, i won't want her to win. Not because she is not pretty and fit but people are making a bg fuss about the fact that she is from Nigeria. Why for God's sake are we as a nation so status conscious that we begin to lose the essence of living itself? we pay attention to how people view us but not how we should make people view us. We want to be this so we look big, making inyanga when millions back home are suffering and tribal wars continue to erupt? please let's see beyond our noses and see that being ANTM is only transient and if we must be respected as a nation, we must uplift the nation and not an individual or a tribe. Gina is pathetic and doesn't have the self confidence to burst out of her sheltered little bubble life. jade is a "has been" that NEVER happened, or never will. With Nnenna on ANTM, it is an opportunity for people to learn more about Nigerian and Igbo culture,and one of the fastest growing immigrant groups in America. Igbos are from eastern Nigeria. They are an ETHNIC GROUP (~30 million worldwide), NOT A TRIBE. Please check your definitions. Just wanted to clear up some misinformation being communicated by both Igbo and non-Igbo people. Really disappointed with my fellow Igbos and Nigerians on this. Go Nnenna! (my namesake) I actually hopes she doesn't win ANTM. She is better off with a Ford contract (which she would get anyway), than a Tyra contract. Tyra's agency doesn't quite have the reputation or track record.

As alot of people have said already NNE means MOTHER and NNA means FATHER in igbo language from the eastern part of Nigeria. As someone mentioned, it means "paternal grandmother" and NNENNE ( MOTHER-MOTHER) which means Maternal Mother" and my own beautiful name NNEAMAKA-Nne (Mother) and AMAKA (beautiful/good) means MY MOTHER IS GOOD/BEAUTIFUL. so she is Nigerian precisely igbo from the eastern part of Nigeria.

Nnena is also a name from the Ibo tribe in Nigeria. I know that because I'm Nigerian, and very proud of how Nnena has represnted us so far. Naija for ever!!!!

Nnenna is an Igbo name, and I don't understand why that's an issue. Any Nigerian, especially an Igbo, recognizes that as an Igbo name, and I don't understand why non-Nigerians are disputing that seeing as how they wouldn't know. No international name dictionary is going to list all of our names, especially seeing as how they spelled Igbo as Ibo. Furthermore, I don't see why Nnenna is being compared to Neneh when those are two different names and have different meanings.
Further verification? Ask any Igbo-speaking person instead of surmising. Nne means mother, and nna means father, so Nnenna does mean "father's mother" as Lizzy said. If you want to discuss a name, discuss Yaya because to this day, I still haven't come across any Nigerian that recognizes that as a name, especially Yoruba-speaking Nigerians.

I think Gina is going to win. For one, she is beautiful. Definite model material. After watching the pre show videos, I think she seems to have the best personality. So many of those girls just seem so arrogant. Also, the judges need to pick someone with culture. Lets hope they don't just pick some tall, blonde blue eyed girl. We need some variety! My Trinidadian friend's name is Nneka. It is Nigerian. Neneh Cherry's name is the same, just the spelling is not Nigerian. Neneh is Godly. Nneneh or Nenee (pronounced) is how you would call a God-mother in Trinidad and I guess other places that boasts Yoruba heritage.

I tend to always like the minorities a lot more, almost a bit of reverse racism. Regardless, I'm trying to be fair, but the only white girl that I would actually classify as pretty is Mollie Sue. In fact I'd go as far as saying that Brooke, Kathy and Kari are very unattractive.
