144815__idle_l144815__wild_lWe won't get to see OutKast's movie musical Idlewild until sometime in 2006, but the upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly has the first pictures from the set of the film, in which Andre 3000 and Big Boi play 1930s nightclub entertainers trying to keep a gangster (Terence Howard) from muscling in on their club. The stylish-looking stills include photos of a production number with Andre 3000 (above left) and Big Boi cavorting with chorus girls (above right). ''It's an OutKast album in visual form,'' Big Boi tells EW's Missy Schwartz.

Sounds great -- how does it look to you, PopWatchers?

I just saw the movie and it was great! The music and the dancing had the feel and excitement of the time! I went right out of the theater and bought the CD.

Outkast are two individuals in hip hop that are helping to keep it alive, this will no doubt be a contribution to this on-going effort. I cant wait to view it, i was dreading that the last album was the last, now i'm happy. Ps come to the uk.

This season definitely has a better chance of succeeding than the last few. Using quasi-celebrities and repeat Bachelorette offenders was just a season-long press release for these people. The reason we love reality TV is because IT COULD HAPPEN TO US!

Of all the musical and film releases of this year and early next, I think I'm looking forward to Idlewild the most. I LOVE OutKast and have for a long time.

The movie sounds exciting! I've admired OutKast for their songs and their non-"gangsta" image (not that I hate gangster rappers, but many seem generic and fake). I hope a movie trailer pops out soon!
