-Constantine Maroulis (left) has made history as the first American Idol contestant to use the show as a springboard to a sitcom deal. Didn't he have a day job in a rock band or something? Who knew he was funny? No less a comedy connoisseur than Kelsey Grammer thinks so, since he's producing the ABC show. Then again, he also made Down Periscope.
-Owen Wilson is teaming up with Curb Your Enthusiasm producer Larry Charles and record producer Rick Rubin to create Bert & Dickie, a sitcom for HBO about a troubled stand-up comedy duo. Because HBO doesn't have enough sitcoms about showbiz folk.
