It's good to know that even celebrity can suffer from PPD. While cable surfing I came across a 2002 movie on Lifetime called "Abandon." Guess who was playing the part of the virginal, naive student named Katie, who does this singing/yodeling thing? Katie Holmes, of course. It's one of those come of age/get trashed/get laid/get stalked. Virgin is pursued by NutCase. Kept hearing familiar phrases in the dialogue between Katie and her on-screen boy pal that were the same words I now hear coming out of Tom Cruise's mouth! In "Abandon" Katie's boyfriend gushes that she's "marvelous" and mature. (sound familiar?) Then they talk about her singing and yodeling (yodeling? Gross!) TomKat were talking about singing and yodeling in an interview. Guess Tom saw the same movie and decided to borrow a few lines. Katie should know the script. Talk about life imitating Art!! I can't believe he is making statements like this! When I first saw clips of the Cruise/Lauer interview, I was outraged. I didn't want to make a judgment out of context, so I looked up and read the full transcript of that interview. I have lost all respect for Tom Cruise.

I am a person who has clinical depression and has been on anti-depressant medication for over one year. I have had to try several different combinations in order to get where I am at this moment, and I am convinced that psychology and those drugs have saved my life. Cruise's attack on Brooke Shields and her book convinced me to purchase it, and it's wonderful. It's so amazing and great to know that someone else out there understands the feelings I've had and was brave enough to speak out about it.

When did Tom get a degree in psychology? He seems to think that being a Scientologist means he knows it all. I respect his religious beliefs, however foreign they are to me, but he needs to respect the people out there who don't feel as he does instead of acting like the be-all and end-all.

I was shocked and dismayed at the performance Tom Cruz put on during his interview with Matt Lauer. His pretentious claim that he knows enough about psychiatry to make a definitive statement that no one should use antidepressants is incredulous. Even if he spent months researching Ritalin (which is not an antidepressant, as he claimed), the fact that he places himself on the same knowlegable plane as MDs who prescribe antidepressants is enough to make me question Mr. Cruz's own mental health.

My advice to Mr. Cruz....don't quit your day job. And leave the art of medicine to those knowlegeable enough to be credible.

Tom Cruise proves that there is no fool like an old fool. He auditions women to be his next as a publicity stunt to promote his movie and chose Katie Holmes who is in need of publicity to promote hers. The idea that Mr. Cuise would appear on shows making a fool of himelf is unseemly. I also would not put it past Tom Cruise to have hired the guy with the squirting microphone in London as another publicity stunt. The event was too convenient and his reaction to prepared for it not to be a staged stunt.

"Happiness" gone too far! This is crazy. What happened to celebrities wanting private lives? George Clooney needs to sit TomKat down and give them a good talking too. This is just too much and actually too hard to believe as true.

As though the world couldn't get any weirder, the unthinkable has happened! Tom "I love this woman" Cruise and Katie "umm, where am I?" Holmes are now engaged. You know what this means don't you? It means that for the next three month or the duration of the marriage, which ever comes first, we're going to be forced to watch Bennifer all over again. Only this time with yodeling and couch gymnastics, two new sports brought to the forefront by Oprah and our buddy Tom.
But the weirdest thing about all this are the earthquakes. Did anybody else notice that all these earthquakes seem to coincide with all the TomKat lovin? Somebody bust out the Scientology User Manual and let me know if earthquakes are a sign of impending world domination. And if they are, I comin' for you Mr and Mrs Cruise. You hear me? I'm comin for you!
