Remember that time when Leonardo DiCaprio starred in that one movie about that one boat? Titanic, it might have been called? Just kidding. We know it’s Titanic because we’ve watched it a million times, and DiCaprio appreciates that.

The Wolf of Wall Street star and Oscar nominee went on CBS This Morning to talk to Gayle King, and the subject of his breakthrough movie came up. “You know, it’s been such a long time, but it was such a huge part of my life,” he said. “And people maybe think I have a reaction to that, to that film, but the truth is, I’m incredibly proud of it. And not only that, the movie has really made me be in control of my career.”

He’s not so proud that he can’t joke about it, as we saw when Jonah Hill hosted Saturday Night Live last month and DiCaprio showed up to reenact the classic “I’m flying!” scene with Hill standing in for Kate Winslet. He was reluctant to do the bit at first, but then gave in, saying, “This is actually pretty damn funny.”

DiCaprio seems to be game for anything these days, including watching a video of “The Drunkest Man in the World” (there appears to be multiple of these) to prepare for his quaaludes scene in The Wolf of Wall Street. DiCaprio also talked to Jordan Belfort as research for his role, which at one point included Belfort crawling around on the floor to show the effect of the powerful drug. “He described this sort of disconnect between your brain and your body. And you have every intention of moving forward and thinking you’re articulate,” DiCaprio said, “and you have the same motivations, just your body doesn’t respond.”

Enough about movies though– when King asked DiCaprio what he looks for in a ladyfriend, he responded, “humility, a good sense of humor, and not a lot of drama.” Good to know.
