Fans waited a very long time for Justin Timberlake’s return to music. And thanks to the length of his new songs, they can spend about the same amount of time listening to that music.

With a two-part album and songs like “Mirrors,” which has a run time of 8:06, and newest single “TKO” (7:04), Timberlake is quite literally squeezing every second of music out of his long-awaited return. But just how drastic are his song lengths? Are they that much longer than the biggest songs right now?

The short answer: Pretty much.

Below is a list of the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 along with the run time for each of the songs:

1. “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus: 3:43
2. “Roar” by Katy Perry: 3:43
3. “Royals” by Lorde: 3:10
4. “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke (featuring T.I. and Pharrell): 4:23
5. “Wake Me Up!” by Avicii: 4:10
6. “Holy Grail” by Jay Z (featuring Justin Timberlake): 5:39
7. “Applause” by Lady Gaga: 3:33
8. “Berzerk” by Eminem: 3:59
9. “Hold on, We’re Going Home” by Drake (featuring Majid Jordan): 3:47
10. “Summertime Sadness” by Lana Del Ray and Cedric Gervais: 4:26

So the longest song in the top 10 right now is “Holy Grail” at 5:39 — more Justin! — with the shortest being “Royals” at 3:10. In order to break it down a little further, here’s how many times you could listen to each of the above songs within the “TKO” run time, in descending order (decimals rounded to nearest 10th):

“Royals”: 2.2 times
“Applause”: 2 times
“Hold on, We’re Going Home”: 1.9 times
“Wrecking Ball”: 1.9 times
“Roar”: 1.9 times
“Berzerk”: 1.8 times
“Wake Me Up!”: 1.7 times
“Blurred Lines”: 1.6 times
“Summertime Sadness”: 1.6 times
“Holy Grail”: 1.3 times

And “TKO” is actually a minute and two seconds shorter than “Mirrors,” during which you could listen to “Wrecking Ball” and “Royals” with 11 seconds to spare.

So what do you think, PopWatchers? Are Justin’s songs too long? Not long enough? Or just right?
