When you have a favorite character on TV or in the movies, sometimes it’s hard to remember that they are a real person playing a fictional one. When you’re 18 months old, you don’t understand that concept at all.
When Jaxson Denno’s mom found out Robert Downey Jr. was shooting a movie (The Judge) near their Massachusetts home, she packed the 1 1/2-year-old into the car and told him he was going to meet Iron Man. Imagine the kid’s disappointment when he actually saw a clean-shaven Tony Stark, sans Iron Man suit and superpowers.
Jaxson’s mother, Heather, told People that her son finally made the connection after Downey spoke, but unfortunately the photo tells a story of a sad kid who basically just found out there is no Santa Claus.
I can’t say I blame the guy, there are definitely some actors who I associate with one role and one role only – to see them in any other way is extremely unsettling. Cue a photo of me crying when I meet Jensen Ackles and realize he isn’t actually Dean Winchester.
