It turns out that the Reagan hologram was actually set to make an appearance. But organizers were apparently concerned about the late president’s blinding zombie charisma: Tony Reynold of the Web site A KickIn Crowd tells Yahoo News that Republican activists nixed the idea, concerned that Ronald Reagan delivering a speech about issues from thirty years ago would overshadow Mitt Romney’s speech.
The Reagan hologram is apparently still going to debut at some point, thus bringing Republicans one step closer to their goal of reanimating Ronald Reagan and electing him President-for-Life. Meanwhile, Democrats across the country continue to wait patiently for Jed Bartlet to walk out of the TV screen and become a real person, à la Purple Rose of Cairo.
