Glued to your TV because you need to see every second of the Lochte/Phelps showdown?
There are quite a few Olympic events (many of which you’re not watching live, thanks NBC!) and more are being added each time around — look out for golf to join the esteemed ranks during summer 2016.
But not everything should be an Olympic event. Last night, the Twitter hashtag #RejectedOlympicEvents took off, and, like everyone else, celebs got in on the fun. Check out some of our favorite rejected ideas (Hugh Jackmanning!) from Sarah Silverman, Andy Richter and others after the jump.
“Fetal Position Human Rocking Chair (Morrissey) #RejectedOlympicEvents”
“Boogaloo (Non-Electric) #RejectedOlympicEvents”
“Women’s Racist Whispering #RejectedOlympicEvents”
“Leech Volleyball #RejectedOlympicEvents #ItCuresYouOfTheFevers”
“Hugh Jackmanning #RejectedOlympicEvents #YouKnowWhatIMean #BecauseIDoNotKnowWhatIMean #HughJackmanIsANationalTreasure #OfAustralia #HelpMe”
“Swimming with Sharks #RejectedOlympicEvents”
“Kindling #RejectedOlympicEvents”
“The Athlon — Competitors do any one thing as quickly as possible. #RejectedOlympicEvents”
“Podcasting #RejectedOlympicEvents”
“Loitering #RejectedOlympicEvents”
And finally, she may not be a celebrity in the traditional sense, but at least one fictitious character got in on the fun as well. Bellatrix Lestrange tweeted, “#RejectedOlympicEvents Quidditch.” Olympics 2020, anyone?
