Hey, nerds! Who’s got two thumbs, speaks limited French, and celebrates her 42nd birthday today? That’s right: Tina Fey, creator of 30 Rock, writer of Mean Girls, and overall funny-lady legend. Let’s recognize the occasion by high-fiving a million angels — and remembering some of Fey’s greatest creations.

“Mom Jeans”
If you’re searching for the perfect gift for Fey, look no further than J.C. Penney — where you’ll find plenty of denim with nine-inch zippers and casual front pleats. Saturday Night Live‘s then-head writer penned this classic ode to unflattering pants in 2003; it’s still among the show’s funniest fake commercials.

Mean Girls
Trying to choose your favorite quote from this teen comedy is harder than navigating the high school cafeteria. Luckily, this video saves you the trouble by compiling all of the movie’s best moments into one handy montage. Four for you, YouTube! You go, YouTube!

Women’s News on Weekend Update: “Bitch Is the New Black”
When Fey stopped by SNL‘s Weekend Update desk in February 2008 — less than two years after she left the show to work on 30 Rock — she delivered a feminist rant that’s frequently quoted to this day. The best part: Hillary Clinton “is [a bitch]. And so am I. Bitches get stuff done. That’s why Catholic schools use nuns instead of priests… At the end of the year you hated those bitches, but you knew the capital of Vermont.”

Bossypants
Fey’s essential essay collection was one of EW’s top two nonfiction releases of 2011 — and it’s also a book that, without fail, makes us giggle, even if we’re reading it in public. But don’t take our word for it: Ask one of the million-plus people who have bought the hardback since its debut last April.

Liz Lemon
How can I begin to describe my love for good ol’ Liz Lemon — eater of night cheese, coiner of “I want to go to there” (well, mother of the toddler who coined the phrase), lover of sweater weather and when Muppets present at awards shows. For six seasons, she’s been one of the funniest, most relatable characters on television… and I don’t even want to think about a world in which she isn’t appearing on my TV screen each Thursday. Blerg, my friends. Blerg indeed.
