Those between the ages of 22 and 32 might have fond memories of The Bathroom Wall, then-SNL star Jimmy Fallon’s sophomoric (and Grammy-nominated) 2002 comedy album. The 14-track CD was geared toward high schoolers and college students; adults like EW’s music critics were a bit less enthused by it. (Quoth our review: File between Sandler’s mediocre Stan and Judy’s Kid and Eddie Murphy’s horrid Party All the Time.” Ouch.)

But Fallon’s upcoming album, Blow Your Pants Off, sounds a lot more promising for the grown-up set. According to a press release, BYPO will contain both bits from Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and original tunes. It’ll also feature an impressive roster of guest musicians including Eddie Vedder, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, and honorary SNL cast member Justin Timberlake. (Does this count as JT finally making music again?) It’s set to hit shelves on June 12 of this year.

The title, according to Fallon, is a reference to what happens when you listen to his tracks: “So far everyone that’s heard the album had their pants blown off. There’s nothing that we can do about it.”The comedian’s musical stylings are often a highlight of Late Night. (Remember his “Friday” duet with Stephen Colbert?) The production number he performed — with help from the cast of Glee, Jon Hamm, Tina Fey, and a coterie of other small-screen stars — at the beginning of the 2010 Emmy Awards is also still ridiculously entertaining. Even so, it may be tough for Fallon’s songs to play well without the benefit of a live audience’s energy.

But either way, I’m looking forward to seeing if Fallon’s tunes can really carry off my trousers. What do you think, PopWatchers — will you give the album a spin come June?
