In honor of Valentine’s Day, let’s each confess a ballad we’re 99.9 percent sure we are the last person to have listened to — and see if we’re right. I’ll start, with a quick scroll through my Recently Played list:
A few of my colleagues’ picks:
Darren Franich: “‘Keep On Loving You’ by REO Speedwagon. I’m sure I’m the last person to listen to it, because I am always listening to it. I’m listening to it right now.”
Stephan Lee: “Britney Spears ‘E-Mail My Heart’. I’m 100 percent sure I was the last person to listen to that one… maybe by about a year.”
Lanford Beard: “From my random shuffle this morning: Drifters’ ‘Save the Last Dance for Me.’” (Note: Also on my Recently Played list, but I have not listened to it today, so she’s still in the running.)
Martin Schwartz: “Ugh, ‘Baby Come Back’ by Player. I have no idea what Pandora was thinking.”
Jeff Labrecque: “‘Lady in Red.’ 99.999 percent sure I was the last to listen to that.”
Your turn!
