For this week’s edition of Pop Culture By the Numbers, EW connected with the SAG Awards, which will air on TBS and TNT on Sunday, Jan. 29, to offer you an inside look at the Screen Actors’ Guild’s swanky ceremony!

79 Years since the Screen Actors Guild was founded.

18 Years that the Screen Actors Guild has held an awards ceremony.

15,872 Square feet of red carpet in the arrivals area.

23,530 Square feet of tenting to protect the red carpet in the event of rain.

5 Number of 10′-tall Actor statues that will be placed along the red carpet and on stage.

3,600 Number of champagne, wine, and water glasses set out on the 96 tables.

2,400 Number of additional glasses at the two 16-foot bars. Because actors really like to drink.

8 Total wins for Julianna Margulies, making her the winningest actor in SAG Awards history.

19 Total nominations for David Hyde Pearce, who has been nominated for more SAG awards than any other actor. (Close behind, Kelsey Grammer has 18 nominations and Edie Falco has 17.)

690 Bunches of turnips (yes, turnips!) that will be used to make dinner, which includes dishes like: Slow-roasted salmon with yellow beets, spicy carrot salad, and raita; roasted root vegetables with quinoa, and persimmon salsa; and grilled chicken breast with black rice, pea shoots, and tangerine vinaigrette.

7,000 Blossoms of miniature green cymbidium orchids and white miniature cala lilies which will be arranged on the tables.

700+ Staff members on hand to help the SAG Awards’ live ceremony go off without a hitch.
