Kim Zolciak wedding photo: The bride wore...

…everything but the kitchen sink, apparently. Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Kim Zolciak seems to have taken the approach of fellow Georgian Scarlett O’Hara with her ornate wedding gown. In pics released to Life & Style, Kim shows off her new husband (as of last Friday) Kroy Biermann and the gown to end all gowns. Covered in beading, embroidery, and hand-carved crystal roses, Kim spared no detail with her Double Duchess Satin Baracci number. She even wore a custom veil with matching beads and embroidered lace. Who says Southerners don’t understand subtlety? READ FULL STORY »

Kat Von D alleges Jesse James had 19 mistresses during their relationship. Happy Monday, everyone!

Kat Von D took to her Facebook to write a message to her ex Jesse James, thanking him for his many indiscretions. (To be fair, Hallmark hasn’t exactly made a card for that just yet.)

In a message titled “Thank you, Jesse James,” the former LA Ink star alleges that a 19th woman has stepped forward and claimed to have had an affair with the biker during their courtship last year. “I kept going back and forth in my mind as to what the best way would be for me to release and let go of any residual feelings remaining from that toxic relationship. All of this may sound petty or immature to some, but I assure you this is coming from a place of pure honesty and love,” Von D wrote regarding the latest bombshell.

Speaking of bombshells, the tattoo artist also made a point to remind everyone she’s not Michelle McGee. READ FULL STORY »

Poll: Who was better on 'Saturday Night Live'? Emma Stone or Melissa McCarthy?

emma-stone

Anna Faris is out. Emma Stone is up. EW’s season-long hunt to determine the best Saturday Night Live host kicked off last week, with voters celebrating Melissa McCarthy with an overwhelming 74.2 percent of the vote. Charlie Day (12.1 percent), Alec Baldwin (9.8 percent), and Ben Stiller (2.3 percent) survived to compete against Stone, who was well-received in her return to the show. Her awkward bridal-shower guest and 1964 Miss America winner held their own against Kristen Wiig’s comic creations, proving that Stone belongs in the conversation of talented recent hosts.

But who’s been the best host so far this season? As explained last week, this isn’t a popularity contest; simply “Who had the best Saturday Night Live episode?” Below, I’ve embedded one clip for each of the five hosts, just to remind you of their recent performances. Vote below, and the host with the least popular support will be eliminated, and the other four will advance next week to compete against Saturday’s host, Jason Segel. Ultimately, we’ll eliminate the less buzzy hosts and crown a Host With the Most at the end of Saturday Night Live‘s season. Can anyone touch McCarthy, or is this race already won? Watch and vote below. READ FULL STORY »

Brad Pitt says he'll retire from acting in three years. (But we won't even be done watching 'Tree of Life' by then!)

Not even Harold Camping’s vision of the future could have seemed this bleak. In an interview with the UK’s version of 60 Minutes, Brad Pitt threatened claimed that he’ll retire from acting within three years.

When asked why was he ready to step down from being one of the biggest, most respected movie stars on the planet, the 47-year-old said, “I am really enjoying the producing side and development of stories and putting those pieces together. And getting stories to the plate that might have had a tougher time otherwise … I have gotten away with a few things in writing and I have been pissed off about a few things. How’s that?” What’s he pissed about exactly? “Oh, dear God. I mean, come on. I’m gonna pass on that one.” (Listen, Brad, whatever it is that upset you, we promise to make it up to you. Was it this? We totally understand. But we’ll all get through this together!) See Pitt’s interview here. READ FULL STORY »

'Family Guy' 9/11 gag: Did they finally go too far this time?

family-guy

Family Guy has never been a show that’s found any subject, no matter how controversial, off-limits. So it should have been of no surprise that the animated series handled the sensitive subject of 9/11 in a provocative, if questionable, way. But, now many are wondering if the show has finally gone too far with their risky brand of humor.

During last night’s episode, while traveling through time, Stewie and Brian stop the events of 9/11 from occurring, only to find that by doing so they’ve set off a chain of events that includes a Civil War in a post-apocalyptic America. The two ultimately decide that they must go back in time once more to make sure the tragic events unfold just as they did 10 years ago. “Let it happen,” they conclude, which resulted in the two high-fiving one another. Stewie then joked that, out of context, the moment didn’t make them look very good. (Or in context, for that matter?) No argument there? Or, in the grand scheme of Family Guy — which has joked about everything from the Holocaust to domestic abuse — is this simply par for the course? READ FULL STORY »

Activision CEO talks record-breaking 'Modern Warfare 3' and future of 'Call of Duty'

Filed under: News, Videogames and tagged:

Last week, the Call of Duty franchise yet again redefined our measly definition of “success” by selling 6.5 million copies of Modern Warfare 3 in one day, which translates into $400 million from just the U.S. and the U.K. That might be the single biggest currency-for-entertainment exchange in the history of pop culture. (By comparison, movie record-holder Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2 made a mere $91 million in its first 24 hours.) It’s the third straight record year for Activision Blizzard, which has essentially created a new early-November holiday by steadily releasing a new Call of Duty game every November. We talked to Activision CEO Bobby Kotick about the franchise’s mega-success, and the vision for the future. READ FULL STORY »

Nancy Grace writes a 'Dancing with the Stars' goodbye letter, possibly with help from the twins

If there’s anything people will likely remember about Nancy Grace being on the 13th season of Dancing With the Stars, it was her devotion to her twins. (Oh, and that time her boobs just about popped out on national television.)

As it turns out, that’s exactly what Grace wants to be remembered for. (Her actual twins, that is.) In a goodbye letter posted on People.com, the recently eliminated DWTS contestant told fans, “I set out to show the twins that, if you believe and you work hard enough, dreams do come true. And, that when the chips are down, never stop trying to keep your chin up.” READ FULL STORY »

Justin Timberlake blogs about 'moving evening' at Marine Corps Ball, makes us dig him that much more

Remember when you lied awake at night in high school, dreaming that just one day before the prom, Nick Lachey would come to your school with a bouquet of flowers, sing “My Everything” and ask you to the dance? No? Just me? Is that why I keep watching The Sing-Off? Anyway, none of us were quite as lucky as Corporal Kelsey DeSantis, who asked Justin Timberlake to the 236th Marine Corps Ball earlier this year… and got a “yes.”

But Timberlake’s acceptance wasn’t all for show and good PR. Dude actually made good on his promise to attend the ball with DeSantis. That’s right: DeSantis became the envy of every TRL-loving guy and gal out there and was accompanied to the Ball by Mr. “Sexyback” himself. But looks like she wasn’t the only person who considered herself lucky. After partaking in festivities, Timberlake blogged about the experience, calling it “one of the most moving evenings I’ve ever had.” Wrote the singer/actor/dancer/MySpace reviver: READ FULL STORY »

'Saturday Night Live' recap: No sophomore slump for Emma Stone

emma-stone-snl

For an episode of Saturday Night Live that seemed to rely heavily on recurring characters and sketches, returning host Emma Stone helped to make the whole thing feel fresh thanks to her energized, no-holds-barred approach to hosting.

There was never a shred of doubt that SNL would have their turn to poke fun at Gov. Rick Perry and his instantly infamous “oops” gaffe, but the cold opening parodying the moment felt too late to the game. (Especially after seeing Perry’s legitimately funny, self-deprecating Letterman appearance on Thursday.) Despite Bill Hader’s best efforts (I think he really just needed the help of his hula girl again), the six minute-long sketch ran uncomfortably long, even by Rick Perry standards. Eventually, Andy Samberg’s Rick Santorum cried “Somebody make it stop!” — I felt the same way. READ FULL STORY »
