Now that we’re officially in the post-millennial aughts, all eyes have turned to the ’90s for artistic inspiration, it seems. Between the recent news that Fox is bringing back In Living Color, last week’s well-received return of Beavis and Butt-Head, and TeenNick’s decision to upgrade The ’90s Are All That block to primetime, it’s obvious there’s a huge appetite for ’90s content. In the spirit of Color‘s remake, we wondered: What other ’90s shows should be brought back?
Do you think there’s room in today’s line-up for a retread of classic sitcoms like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Mad About You? Maybe tweaking a classic family drama like Party of Five is what’s needed? Or do you have some hankering for local color à la Picket Fences and Northern Exposure? What about a gone-too-soon show that was great but never really got off the ground like My So-Called Life, Freaks and Geeks, or Twin Peaks? Tell us what you think — list your favorite shows in need of a reboot in the comments!

‘In Living Color’ returning with Keenen Ivory Wayans

The Simpsons! Oh, wait….
Twin Peaks please!!! Need to know what happened to Dale and the rest of the town!!!
“Twin Peaks” would be good… or David Lynch could just develop a new show. It would still be weird and probably pretty good.

Hank Azaria was in it too. I also remember Tea’s Flying Blind which was pretty funny. I liked Duet as well until it got renamed Open House.
Firefly
I like where you’re going with this, but Firefly is a 2001 show.
2002-03 to be precise. Spirit on both parts heartily appreciated.
I don’t think firefly needs a remake, it was remarkable…we just need a time machine to keep it going for a few more years!
or at the least, joss whedon and gang come back for a second shot to continue the series
I liked the party of five, and blossom
Anything from The WB, Anything from TGIF, Any of our classic cartoons.
Boy Meets world! although I don’t want a remake cause they’ll probably ruin it so i take that back but reruns would be great.
Took the words straight out of my mouth. I love Boy Meets World!
The “Boy Meets World” stars have been talking on Twitter about a possible reunion …
yes boy meets world please!!!!
I would adore a Boy Meets World reunion!!
Will Friedle is such a cutie in BMW! tee-hee!
Boy Meets World. Why not have Topanga and Cory have a son…and it be centered around him?! Would love a reunion
Its sad nobody can think up new stuff we have to reboot. In 2030′s will the question be what shows in the 2010′s you want rebuted? Lone star? Charlies angels? You get rhe idea. Failed once why try again? If didnt fail why mess with it? Get dvd of the orginal. How can improve mad about you? Murray must be dead & cant be brought back. He was the only reason i watched that show.
they had buck reincarnated into that small dog on married with children
I agree. Leave the 90s alone!!!
I agree; why does there have to be a reboot of anything? Is there not one writer in Hollywood who can come up with an original idea? Sheesh, that’s why God made Nick at Night and TVLand!
They need to stop remaking ’70s shows! It doesn’t work every time! Charlie’s Angels was okay in the 5 years it was on.
Hail Duckman!! (It’ll be very hard to duplicate the original ILC!)
i loved duckmanm!! i think u and i were the only one who watched it
I LOVE Duckman too! Have Seasons 1-3 on DVD and turned my 15 year old onto it–Jason Alexander was perfect. Agree that it would be hard to duplicate or better it though…
Another “Duckman” fan here – I got into it in the mid-90′s when I was a kid and some of the more mature satire went over my head, but became a HUGE fan because of the outrageously original humor!
Bring back The Tracey Ullman Show! She was amazingly talented.
I agree with this one.
Also: Murphy Brown (which I think was 80s/90s).
Picket Fences and Northern Exposure were good ideas too.
Brisco County? Not sure what year that was. Too lazy to look up.
Buffy, Angel
Twin Peaks
Xena
Hercules
Star Trek Next Gen and DS9 (the former started in the 80s but ran into the 90s.
Buffy!!! Angel!!!
buffy and angel should never be tampered with! lol ever!
I really liked Freaks and Geeks, but without the original cast, it wouldn’t be the same.
That goes with any show that isn’t sketch comedy. Without the same cast, it won’t work.
Firefly – or Buffy or Angel – or really anything from Joss Whedon
I think instead of tampering with some great shows (although firefly could use some more seasons to finish the storyline) Joss Whedon should create more fantastic shows..
Who’s the boss or Family ties!
Homie-o homie-o where for art thow homie-o
Oh yes, Twin Peaks! and Xena!
Fox had a show called Herman’s Head which was hillarious….Tea Leoni first start> sound off if you remember
I miss Herman’s Head. It was hi-sterical!
Yes, that was a great show. Parker Lewis Can’t Lose wasn’t a bad show either.
I can’t believe people remember that show. I thought it was super funny!
I remember that show. Hank Azaria was in it too. I also remember Tea’s Flying Blind which was pretty funny. I liked Duet as well until it got renamed Open House.
Loved this show!
the Tea Leoni show you’re talking about is flying blind…i loved that show
i wish nick make new episodes of rugrats and the show’s spinoff, all grown up. they are awesome shows.
i would like to see ALF back who didndt love that show

ALF was in the ’80s
