It’s hard to say, “Poor Minka Kelly!” (I mean, come on… seriously!) But, as any avid fan of Friday Night Lights can attest, we tend to keep an eye out for our beloved Dillon natives. (In case you were wondering what all that excessive gawking at Taylor Kitsch was about. Just keepin’ tabs on Timmy Riggins, is all.)
Still, it was hard not to feel a little bad for “poor Minka Kelly” when it was announced today that her new series, ABC’s remake of Charlie’s Angels, has been canceled. And just a few weeks after her split from longtime boyfriend Derek Jeter, no less. But, let’s not feel too sorry for Lyla Garrity for too long (because, seriously, come on). Because I’m pretty sure the Bravermans would still love to have Kelly back as Max’s behavioral aide Gaby over on Parenthood.
Sure, she may have helped cause the demise of Crosby and Jasmine, and during this week’s episode, Amber proved she could actually make a viable candidate as Max’s aide, but seeing as Jason Katims also keeps an eye out for his FNL kids, surely he’d welcome her back, yes? And now that Alex (Michael B. Jordan) is gone, there’s a very distinct lack of FNL-ers anywhere to be found. (Unless, of course, they want to send Haddie to a Crucifictorious concert or something. Then by all means, please do!)
And despite the Crosby-Gaby-Jasmine mess, I’ve legitimately have missed her on the show. She was believable, likable, and most importantly, a great fit for Max. Sure, it would cause some drama at first (hey, where would the Bravermans be without a little drama?), but I’d venture to guess fans would accept her with equally open arms.
Then again, she could just start practicing her Texas twang once more to get back in character for the Friday Night Lights movie, ya’ll?

And put Rachael Taylor back on Greys Anatomy. I actually liked her with Justin Chambers on the show. There was some potential there. It ended abruptly due to her going for Charlie’s Angels.

I adore Minka Kelly. I never understood why she got so much crap from FNL fans. It seems like most of them really hated her but I’ve never thought she was that bad of an actress. Plus, look at her. She’s just so fun to look at!
I think she would fit right in with Parenthood.
The story of Gaby and Crosby is more interesting and believable than the story of Jasmine and Crosby.

Crosby and Gaby just have WAY more chemistry. Jasmine and Crosby just don’t. I’m sorry, Joy Bryant is a beautiful woman, but I can’t stand her character!!! Whereas I totally loved the Crosby/Gaby storyline. Bring Minka back!!!

hahahaha I can completely see Haddie at a Crucifictorious concert! and I say let Minka’s character come back to be a love interest for Crosby and let Amber work with Max as a FT job, they could pay her more than that coffeehouse
They could bring her back as a mentor to getting Amber really invested in this career path. They really hinted at it with how much she enjoyed helping Max this week, and who better to learn from?
So true! I like Jasmine with the doctor too. It might not be the perfect family situation, but plenty of kids have more than one parent and that’s more realistic than Crosby and Jasmine getting back together.
Yes! Which is why there would be a good story conflict to have Amber decide that this is what she wants to do…then all of a sudden Gabby comes back…poor Amber
Poor Minka Kelly! In all seriousness, those were my exact thoughts. I so want my FNL alums to all have success after that show.

I’ve never watched her in anything, but, man is she beautiful. Just gorgeous.
Bring Minka Kelly/Gaby back to Parenthood with little baby Crosby in tow. Would love her to come back as the mother of Crosby’s baby, she had from their one night fling. Make them a couple and have her start working with Max again. She could mentor Amber well she becomes a child aid worker, as she works with other special needs children.
Ew. The guy had one illegitimate suprise kid, he doesn’t need two. But they could get back together and she get pregnant soon after just to see how they deal with the complicated parenting situation then.
I love the concert Idea, Then Jessie Plemons could become the new guy for Haddie.
I back the idea of a Crucifictorious concert on any TV show at any time. The more Landry, the better.

Bring her back! She was such a great fit on the show, and it would be easy to write her back in. She was such a more likable and realistic character than Jasmine, who has me constantly rolling my eyes and begging my TV to make her go away.
