The show was written off before it even premiered. It wasn’t terrible – it was fun pro-female fluff – but it’s hard to steal viewers away from Parks & Rec, The Office, The Vampire Diaries, The X Factor, etc.
Had it been on a more youthful network (like FOX or The CW) and aired on a different night, Charlie’s Angels might have fared better and found the right audience.
I didn’t watch the original, and I’m overruled on where the TV goes now.
The Vampires an Project Runway rule this house on Thursday.
ERICA DURANCE! Erica as guest star was my reason for watching, she outplays all the angels imo.
Erica Durance was the sole reason I watched the show.
Two words. Erica Durance.
I only watched because of Erica Durance, and I know several other fans of smallville’s Erica also tuned in. As for the show, Erica was good even with bad writing, and her character was very likable. The other angles besides Bosley.. aren’t very good. The show isn’t very good, and can see why it’s been cancelled. Erica would have been an awesome Angel though.
Heck yeah, bring Erica as an Angel and I’ll watch every week!
I LOVE Charlie’s Angels-it is light, lots of action, great scenery and it is shot on location. Not like all the other shows that say they are shot in a particular city and they are really shot in LA. PLS DO NOT XCL. Thanks
You know, I watched because it seemed fun, Erica Durance was a treat, miss her on tv after smallville, but I have to admit Thursday Nights are a bad night to watch, only reason I watched was because I DVRd it. I’d put it on Monday before Hawaii Five 0 if I was ABC.
ABC: Are you really in your right mind? Nobody cancels a series after 5 episodes! DUUUUUUUUUU!
First of all you had it at a poor timeslot! To add there way very little advertisement 4 months in advance to show case the pilot date! You smart people killed another great show by not letting it view on the internet! I/e V the show! Who is running your decisions? You need to return to Charlies Angels production and see this through! Drew Barrymore was right! This is a hit show! And please at least have an ending for V Visitors
I liked the show. It came on Thursday night when I get home from work and just want to relax. It was nice and light and I enjoyed it. I watched at first because Annie Ilozeh (sp?) left General Hospital to be on it and I wanted to support her. But I actually liked the show.

I’m a 40-something fan of the original (or most of the crime shows from that era, for that matter). The problem is that this is only going to appeal to 15-20 year old girls. Just look across the street at CBS & “Hawaii Five-O” for the right formula: original theme song, good writing (acting? maybe not. But it gets by) & the team that gave us the mega-succesful “Star Trek” reboot. When I see female-driven roles like this, viable action & character development are vital (see: Nikita (the earlier series) & “Alias”. You also have to be careful what you choose to remake (NBC “Knight Rider” & “Bionic Woman” had “fail” written on them from the beginning). Some tongue-in-cheek stuff that was cool to be corny in the 70′s won’t stand a chance nowadays without REAL updating. Bosley was TOTALLY miscast here as well. Episodes 3 & 4 seemed to get the message, but now it’s too late. “Starsky & Hutch”, “SWAT”, or “The Mod Squad” anybody?
I LOVED the show, pretty girls that kick add and interesting cases and ways of infiltration. Really smart and beautiful Miami wasn’t harsh on the eyes either. Made me be wanna be one of them. People should at least give it a shot us all I’m saying. How often do I say NEVER will I watch xyz and end up loving it. -CHRIS-
i love the show. Have been watching it since day one. I feel it has action, beautiful women, not to mention that hot bosley…..It’s it’s own charlies angels…it shouldn’t live up to a remake because that show had it’s time. This is a new show w/ new angels and shouldn’t be compared to anything…. i read a lot of dumb comments who says it doesn’t live up to the original…Wake up, that was the soo long ago. The old charlie angels didn’t have this nice technology or fought really good either…. I loved it and think it was stupid for abc to cxl it… my opinion….just saying..
I have been recording it since day 1 and only started watching it last week.
After watching the first couple of episodes I thought it a little empty and the characters very weak lacking real depth and character or even humour which might have helped if they had taken that direction. However i decided to continue to watch and actually to my surprise began to enjoy it due to the sub plots that seemed to be developing. I think to get the true rating of a program you at least need to complete a season. Granted it is lightweight with the characters dressed inappropriately for the most and performing moves that might be unrealistic but i kind of like it and wish the powers that be would give it a chance to develop.
