Rashida Jones has a nude streak in her

If you ever bump in to Rashida Jones at the Apple Store, be bold. But be careful not to confuse her for Fiona Apple or someone from Community, as people occasionally do. The Parks and Recreation star shared the blueprint to her heart with Playboy‘s readers in this month’s 20 Questions interview. Asked what she would do if she could by anonymous for one day, she catered to the publication’s male readership. “Streaking through a large crowd has always been a secret fantasy of mine,” she said. “Disneyland would be fun. Or maybe just showing up at the Apple Store naked and picking up an iPod shuffle and pretending nothing was wrong or different.”

The daughter of Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton, Jones has rarely lived a day of anonymity. She tells Playboy about growing up in a house that welcomed the likes of Miles Davis, Frank Sinatra, and Michael Jackson as frequent visitors. “Michael basically grew up with us, so I have a million memories of him,” she said. “We were at each other’s house all the time. He was definitely a little bit of an alien, for sure, and when I was young, it felt as if he was my age, not 18 years older, but with just a little bit more pep. Later, we’d go out on the town together. He always wore those surgical masks. Once, my sister, Michael, Emmanuel Lewis and I got in a car with Super Soakers and went by a movie theater and supersoaked the hell out of people waiting in line. They had no idea they’d just been supersoaked by the King of Pop.”

Still, not everyone recognizes who she is at first glance. Jones says that people often confuse her for Leah Remini or Alison Brie. Not everyone makes that particular embarrassing faux pas, though. “On New Year’s Eve this guy came up to me really drunk and was like, ‘Oh my God, I love you. This is the best night of my life. I can’t believe I’m seeing you. This is amazing,'” said Jones, who’s dated Tobey Maguire, John Krasinski, and Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau. “Then he goes, ‘What’s your name?’ So that didn’t work out. We’re not getting married.”

So you’re saying there’s a chance? Good luck, Genius Bar lurkers.

I always wondered if Rashida would work so much if she took after her black father more. Her looks are more white and she can pass as Italian or Greek. She has never played a black woman or even a biracial one. As a biracial woman myself I notice that lighter people like her and Mariah carey that can pass do seem to use it to their advantage in Hollywood.

      Racism, much?

      • whatevs

I think she knows she was talking about racism.

    • huh???

how do you know she “has never played a black woman or even a biracial one”? i don’t recall her characters on the office or parks and recreation ever discussing their ethnicity at ALL. because, to you, she can “pass as italian or greek” and the ethnicity of her characters has not been discussed, she is automatically playing a white character? i think that is ridiculous.

Rofl, actually in the Office they make a pretty big deal about the fact that she’s Italian on several occasions, when Michael meets her after first coming to Scranton in season 3 and when Jim tells her to re-record her voicemail message while embracing her Italian heritage just as examples.

      • huh???

okay. i stand corrected. but does having italian heritage in her background mean her character could not be biracial? or multi racial?
