This show should be titled 1.5 MEN or some other fraction. Ashton’s character is too needy and seems too childlike and extremely uninteresting and shallow. The writers need to make this Walden character smarter with better lines — more on the order of Sheen’s character. There is no depth to Ashton’s character. CBS… help improve this situation asap–this show has become way too predictable and boring with the same theme in each show.
The old 2.5 men had clever lines …. did the old writers leave along with Sheen???
I agree, Ashton’s character has the mind of a 12 year old and he’s a billionaire. This doesn’t make any sense at all. His character is mindless and worthless. Please cancel this series, CBS.
I agree that it’s the writers that need to step up and make this show work. Even the good characters, Alan and Berta, aren’t working anymore. Walden’s character is pathetic. If he’s so in love with Bridget why does he hit the sack with every chick he meets…and even choose Courtney over Bridget when it came right down to it. So stop whining already Walden – and be a big boy and learn to cut your own food and feed yourself. Pathetic.
You don’t get it… Alan’s become Charlie, Jake has become Alan, and Ashton has become Jake… and the show has become much less than it was… …
This show is better than all the prime time sitcom shows that evening. Out of all the sitcom shows on Monday night, this show is the most entertaining. The show needs to develop the Walden character and show how he came to be a billionaire. They need to show some flashbacks of where Walden came from so his character is understood and developed more. Then Walden needs to develop his character so that we are no longer calling him Ashton but we are calling him Walden. We need to meet some of Walden’s friends who know Walden well so his character is more developed. We need to know Walden’s favorite food, color, eating place, hobby, book, tv show, car, vacation place, jokes, people, movies, music, etc. We need to get to know Walden inside and out as if he is our new friend. We need to grow to love Walden as the character in the show. We need to make Walden a character where people would want to wish to be Walden and they can relate. If the show can accomplish this, then it will be a bigger hit.
Sitcom, do you want to watch a TV Comedy, or marry the new character… what’s his favorite color… Please…
@Grumpy- And Charlie Sheen should hate Chuck Lorre shouldn’t he? Chuck lorre took an unemployed actor that no one wanted to work with and no one would hire and gave him a shot by writing a hit show for him and giving his career a comeback and helping him put his life in order.Chuck Lorre also defended Charlie every time he did drugs,locked his hookers in closets ans tried to strangle his wife. Chuck lorre even begged CBS to not fire Charlie when they wanted to 2 years ago and to give him the 2 million dollars he wanted making him the highest paid actor in the history of sitcoms. So surely he had every right to hate him and to quit his hit job. You’re all morons with too much time on your hands. He is gone, either change the channel or pick up a book.

Actually, Chuck Lorre had Dharma & Greg before Charlie joined Spin City…
Dharma and Greg was cancelled at this time. So we can say they did quite well without each other and together made a big success with Two and a Half Men based on Sheen real life adventures..now it is over, Sheen has moved on and will be in other smarter projects (looking forward to see him in movies again)
Take it easy, the show is just taking off. Walden is little by little finding his place and let’s just forget about Charlie. He was good but things can also change. I digged the show tonight, it is just a matter of attitude if we keep thinking that the world has ended because Charlie isn’t there anymore, we are not giving Ashton a chance.
This season seems like a bad spin-off from Two 1/2 Men, only they forgot to change the name of the show… Sorry, it just doesn’t make me lol anymore… (Maybe I did once with one of Berta’s funny lines) Seeing all the old familiar characters just reminds me of how funny Charlie Harper (a true player) was… Seeing Charlie’s hot con artist ex-girlfriend in her tight teddy kept me from turning it off this week… also making Rose to be Charlie’s murderer was lame.. I feel like I’m witnessing a runaway train soon to crash. That should sell more advertising I guess… Good Luck Mr. Lorre… Is this your clever way of pulling the plug? .. SHAME ON YOU!

I watched last night’s episode of ‘Two and A Half Men’. This series is sinking fast. I’ve tried to get into the new show with Ashton Kutcher, but his character isn’t doing it for me. How can someone be a billionaire and be so stupid with the mind of a 12 year old? Charlie Sheen was the backbone of this show and he had a chemistry with John Cryer and the other cast members. Ashton’s long hair makes him look girly and non masculine. He has a cute face, but he doesn’t have the best body. I don’t find him attractive at all. He’s no Paul Walker and he doesn’t have a body like Paul Walker that’s for sure.
Dear Lord! I didn’t even laughed once tonight, and don’t round me on the Sheen lover’s/Kutchner haters list. I actually had high hopes fir this season. But this story line is about as believable as Jenny McCarty’s horrible new face. Come on! There are so many gaping holes on the story line ( not talking about McCarty now). Unless the writers completely revamp the story line this season will be the last. Not enough amount of Naked Ashton or overly inflated fake tatas will keep anyone interested. Sorry but I’m giving it one more week , my dvr finger is already itching to hit the delete button.
I really wanted to like this show post Charlie, but I am into the fourth week and it’s just not funny. Jon Cryer is doing all he can, and we are not seeing nearly enough of Jake. I have always liked Ashton Kutcher, but his character is not funny, just dumb. So far it feels like everybody is just trying too hard.
Before the brouhaha over Charlie Sheen’s breakdown, 90% of the comments on this show were about what a smut-fest and unfunny it was.
Now you are clamoring to have him back?
I have never loved the show, but check it out every now and then. It’s just okay.

And, yes, Berta needs to go back to being herself. Oohing and awing over Walden is stupid.
I really tried to watch it again it’s not the new guys fault. It’s the producers who really thought that they could replace the main star and that we would be like ok I’ll still watch sorry it’s not happening. As we speak it’s being removed from my DVR scheduling. I’m sorry this new show is like misplaced stepchild find it’s mother and send it back home lol.
This crazy travesty needs to stop. Someone needs to call Charlie and apologize. I’m done watching this crap.
Watched Episode 2. It really was not funny. I haven’t watched since.
A.Kutcher is a horrible actor and he doesn’t fit in with the rest of the cast at ALL!!!! Won’t be watching it again and I took it off the DVR…what a waste of time! Even when he tries to be funny, he looks awkward and ridiculous….! BRING CHARLIE BACK or cancel it all together!
Honest to god never thought I would hit Cancel Series for Two & half men (one my favorite shows in past) from my DVR …but yep thank you Chuck Lorre it happened last week. I hope i wasnt the only one. You DONT DESERVE THE RATINGS.
