I think the show is ok. The jokes are always the same but it works. EVERY week someone will say they are done but the ratings will still be good.

“I give the series a month”
“I give the series until sweeps”
“I give the series until mid-seasons”
“I give the series one season”
    and on and on….

Last season wasn’t so great. Charlie’s sudden love for Rose; Alan’s duel personalities. This season is more watchable.

      • FIONA

Charlie arc with Rose was not sudden, more than once he was attracted to her, and finally this story was getting interesting after the Chelsea boring fiasco, Alan stories were silly but it is even worse now..this season is UNwatchable.

      Not a chance in hades!

  • radiowarsx

I never really liked this show all that much, but I like Kutcher. His delivery is far less contrived than Sheen’s was.

    • FIONA

i hope you are kidding, Ashton will never be the actor Charlie Sheen is, contrived is a synonym for Ashton acting (or non acting as you want) and i am a young woman who find Ashton Kutcher handsome but i also recognise when there is acting ability or not.

      • radiowarsx

Ashton has never been a great actor, no argument there, but he exudes charisma with his dialogue, which is why people like him. He may just be acting like Ashton Kutcher, but that alone makes it sound more natural. As for Charlie, every time he opened his mouth all I could think was “That came from a script.” It blows my mind how many people on here seem to think Charlie Sheen was some unparalleled talent. You can’t even use the word “overrated” for a guy like Sheen – that would imply there is some critical analysis to be had. Two and a Half Men is so mindless and manufactured my brain shuts off when I see it.

      • FIONA

And i stand by my opinion that Charlie Sheen has far more charisma and acting ability than Ashton Kutcher (pretty as he is) even now at 46..hey Sheen younger was considered as a young A-list talent in the same league as a Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Sean Penn or Brad Pitt (and he never had the same uber successful career because of his real life problems, not because of limited acting)..Ashton Kutcher is and has never been in the same league or even considered in the same league as the young A-list talents a la James Franco, Ryan Gosling, Leo Dicaprio or other Michael Fassbinder and Matt Damon..get real please.

I wanted to like it – sigh

  • Cyn

I miss Charlie. This show does not entertain nor is it funny. John Cryer carries the show; he is the only consolation or reason to watch. I do not see how TAHM is going to make it much longer. Surely Sheen will come back. Wouldn’t that be great?

  • kris

suck it up and swallow your pride and get on your knees and get Charlie back and get him back asap before the entire story line is beyond repair. PLEASE. and maybe I’ll send you a xmas ham.

I actually like the new show more, I liked it with sheen up til season 6 then it kind of felt repetitive, plus most issues during the show were resolved in the same episode, now there is a bit of a thread that connects them here in season 9. I’m not looking at it as something that Sheen was killed off in, I’m looking at it as a new show overall, the way it should.

  • Dolores

THey only reason this show gets put on the last 5 mintues is because Mike & Molly are on. But let me tell you I think I will just wait for 9:30 to come around and put Mike & Molly on

  • Keys

Sorry, I’ve been trying to give it a try…but tonight is my last show. Not funny, poor acting, other characters changed too much. Goodbye.

    • john rice

Agreed. I had hoped they would pull it out by the forth episode but this show is horribly boring.

How is it that Walden’s wife “Bridget” was Herbs’ sister whom Charlie slept with during Judy and Herb’s wedding? She even stayed at Charlie’s house during the wedding and was not married then… Now she comes back as Walden’s wife, both married for 15 years and nobody, including Allan, Jake nor Judy could remember her? Wrong person to use as Walden’s wife. Think we wouldn’t remember her? Any comment, anyone? Am I the only person who caught this? Wrong move Mr. Lorre. How can you explain this?

    • vimack

Yep, I caught that she was the sister to Judith’s husband. Too bad they used her as this character because she is really quite funny.

    • John

      My point exactly

    • Rich

Glad to see other people spotted Aunt Myra/Bridget in amongst it all. This isn’t the first time 2.5 Men has had actors play multiple roles. Jennifer Taylor was Chelsea, Tina and Nina. Liz Vassey played Kate and Michelle, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe was Gail and crazy goth Isabella, as well as Jenna Elfman who was Frankie and Dharma.

    • Mark

They used the actress who played Chelsea a few times before too.

  • Entertained

If the goal of this show is to entertain, I am entertained. The previous sitcoms before this show did not entertain me. PLUS you negative die-hard Charlie fans think that Ashton is the whole show. The other characters had more lines in the show than Ashton but you choose to focus on Ashton only. This goes to show that you just want to b**** about him. Ashton is one of many characters so I don’t know why you only focus on him and place him under a microscope. You folks are just haters and can’t get to the fact the Charlie Sheen badmouthing the hand that fed him will not work in show business. Get over it and move on. Enjoy, relax and appreciate what the world can offer which Charlie Sheen did not appreciate obviously. You are showing your grumpy age whenever you complain like old people. Stay young and enjoy what is available.

    • Reality check

Please Sheen had a career before and he will have one after delusional ‘Entertained’, by the way he was on Spin City before working with Lorre..and actually it was Lorre who did not have a career since a while at this time not the other way around.
I am looking forward to watch Charlie Sheen new show !! you hou !

  • J.K

If you guys want low brow humor that is actually funny then check out the Married With Children reeruns that are now on TV Land. It is like Two and A Half Men but yuo don’t have to be an absolute idiot to enjoy it.

    • bubbah

…..but it sure as heck helps……

  • Johnny

Hate to say it but right now I think there’s no getting rid of Ashton. True the numbers are falling off but it looks like it’ll come down to the usual numbers the show usually pulls & if that happens there’s no way they’ll ask for Charlie back just to prove the show survived no matter how bad the show may be without him.

  • bob

I see now that the writers of that 70s show really made him funny. This is just terrible.

  • Grumpy

Here comes the grumpy old fans of Charlie Sheen at it again each week. When are you guys going to end this? Like Charlie the complainer, like fans. Get this to your head, folks. Charlie Sheen HATES Chuck Lorre. If Chuck Lorre is the creator of the show, then how can they work together? Search Google for “Charlie Sheen hates Chuck Lorre” and write these words in a huge poster and post it in your room so you are reminded why Charlie Sheen is not in the show anymore each week. Your complaints are getting old. Move on. Enjoy life and enjoy what is left.

    • Diane

But AK is a horrible replacement

    • Reality check to ‘Grumpy’

you are really the grumpy one, enjoy the show if you like it don’t bother being ‘grumpy’ with people who express a different opinion.

  • abuelita

A beautiful body and a big d… doesn’t add up to an interesting or funny character. Alan has become unlikable and even Berta’s scenes/lines seem forced and witless. The chemistry is gone.
