'Pop-Up Video' is back! Do people still care about the words in the bubbles?

I think the sheer novelty of seeing any kind of music (such as it is) on Vh1 would be enough for me; plus I also think the pop-ups are just funny, for the most part — at the very least, they make even the worst songs somewhat easier to sit through and they’re good for a laugh.
True. And for anyone who really misses the now-ancient, original Pop-Ups, they can always watch VH1 Classic or fire up Youtube.
I enjoyed it the first time around and glad it’s back! Always get a kick out of it.
Yeah, I mean, videos with factoids, people! What on Earth is wrong with that? Nothing! Um, sorry. I’m a little riled up. Must be all that “popping”. It’s like informative, musical bubble wrap.
I watched the first one yesterday and will continue to DVR. I miss videos. Sue me, I’m old; I loved MTV back in the day (eighties).
My “day” was the nineties, but I agree. Does anybody else remember TRL? I used to rush home after school to turn on MTV to see how well NSYNC was doing that day. Pathetic? Maybe. But it was a simpler time.
Yeah, that was my day as well, although I wasn’t much of an ‘N Sync fan. I just enjoyed the Times Square fandemonium of it all. And some of the best moments didn’t even relate to music. Baby Daniel Radcliffe’s “towel girl”, anyone? Now, Carson Daly is the indie creature of the wee hours. He’s even admitted the need for peace and quite after years of screaming teenage girls. I don’t know if it was a simpler time, per say, but it was definitely different.
I am just HAPPY to see actual videos on a channel that was created for this sole purpose. MTV needs to turn itself into RST = Reality show TV…oh wait, it already has.

Never saw the first incarnation of Pop-up-Video, caught the marathon yesterday and now I am hooked. Got the DVR all set to catch each new one. Since I don’t listen to much mainstream music, or watch videos, I figure I can at least watch and pretend I know who some of those performers are.
