Ashton Kutcher's second 'Two and a Half Men' episode: Do we still care?

Two-Half-Ashton

Charlie is already dead. Ashton Kutcher’s Walden Schmidt has already bought his house. Heck, we’ve already met Ashton Kutcher’s Walden Schmidt’s nether regions — in fact, a grand total of 27.7 million viewers met his nether regions. Of course, huge ratings for Two and a Half Men‘s ninth season premiere were expected — following Charlie Sheen’s firing and subsequent media implosion, curiosity drove many to tune into CBS to see what would come of Charlie Harper and his youthful replacement. But now that we’ve gotten answers — and an opportunity to snap judge Kutcher in the role as hapless and hopelessly-in-love billionaire Walden — will TV viewers continue to tune in? When it comes to Two and a Half Men‘s headline-making ninth season, do we still care?

As expected, the second episode was far less buzzy than its predecessor. Following its water cooler premiere, it was back to basics for the CBS sitcom: Same sex jokes, same laugh track. (On second thought, those were in the premiere too.) But we still learned plenty about new guy Walden. Essentially, thanks to his mere presence, the show should be retitled Two Men. As his ex Bridget (Judy Greer) said during the episode, Walden “has the emotional maturity of a 12-year-old.” The billionaire may be able to buy a fancy car and a new beachside villa, but he can’t remember which shampoo or toilet paper he uses without his ex-wife. Walden is so immature, you might as well call him Kelso. (Who else saw shades of the That ’70s Show character when Walden told Bridget, “If loving you is wrong, then I am… wrong”?)

Of course, we can expect this emotional immaturity to lead to Walden getting a new roommate — Cryer’s Alan Harper, who, until he asked to be Walden’s roommate for “a month tops” (yeah, right), was stuck under his mom’s kinky umbrella. But, interestingly enough, Two and a Half Men doesn’t seem to be moving forward quite yet — there was still mention of Charlie’s death when a babe dropped by the house in search of him. She, naturally, moved on at the mere sight of Walden — something CBS is hoping us viewers do too.

So, PopWatchers: Have you moved past Charlie’s death? Are you sticking with the show past its ninth season premiere? And do you, like Berta, wonder what Walden’s sweat tastes like? Let us know in the comments below!

the show sucks w/o charlie. please let charlie come back to save the show

    • wtf

Ashton Kutcher should be neutered before he gets the chance to reproduce. Good thing Demi is long past menopause

      • jill

2.5 men is dead :( … Charlie should just walk in from a few weeks in Vegas – and his death etc. was a fake by Rose – but I guess we’re past that now as Chuck Lorre destroyed it with his pettiness wanting to hurt Mr Sheen. Pathetic. Very sad. Over and out – moving on…

      • Agna

Wow, that’s pretty mean. Why insult him personally? If you don’t like his character on the show that’s fine. Sheesh, step away from your computer keyboard and decompress.

      • jong

The saying ‘The King is dead; long live the King’ does not apply to the 9th series of Two and a Half Men; Charlie Sheen rules. The show is dead without him. Good effort from the rest of the cast but they cannot put life into something that is already dead and buried.BTW,I wanna share a good news to you.My best friend ,she just has announced her wedding with a millionaire man who is a celebrity !they met via Millionaireloving.C óM ..it is the largest and best club for celebrity and their admirers to chat online. You do not have to be rich or famous. ,but you can meet one , It’s worthy a try,Maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends!

I think if you used to watch Two and a Half Men before, you watched it for Charlie Sheen. If you watched for Sheen, then no matter what they did with the show, you were going to hate it. I used to watch the show a bit and loved Sheen in it. I haven’t watched for a while and actually think Ashton, to my surprise, has been okay. It’s clearly more of a spin-off (similar to when Sheen replaced Michael J. Fox on Spin City). However, unfortunately for CBS, I don’t think Ashton can keep Sheen’s fans, who are very loyal to him and will hate anything a replacement does. I think the show’s okay (wasn’t a huge fan before Charlie left) though I don’t know how long I’ll be watching it for. But I’ll at least give Ashton credit for giving the show a chance to survive. Not sure it will after the hoopla officially dies out, but I expected a train wreck and I don’t think it is.

      • CBS Comedies Sucks

CBS’s Monday Night Lineup is stacked with comedic talent from top to bottom. However, CBS has decided to market their shows to the lowest common denominator. I am no prude, but the writers on 2 Broke Girls, Mike and Molly, and Two and a Half Men are content to write the most pathetic, sophomoric jokes about sex and masterbating that the audiences can see, ahem, comming a mile away (queue canned laughter). It KILLS me that these three shows get worlds better ratings than the vastly superior Parks and Recreations, Community, and Cougar Town; even the down 30 Rock, the Office, and Happy Endings have vastly superior writing. There is great comedic and acting talent on many of the CBS sitcoms, but the writing is just terrible. Is it just all of the old people that are too tired to change the station, or perhaps people start watching one of these shows and fall asleep?

HIMYM > any other CBS Comedy on monday night, and it’s not even close…

BTW I left off Modern Family because it gets solid ratings. Aparently, People are in the mood for actual comedy on Wednesdays…

      • Tom

Ashton needs to shave and quit the whole jesus routine

      • idjit

It’s not horrible to insult him personally. He’s a horrible tool that’s
        1) well built while being horribly ugly
        2) horribly ugly personality to go with the messed up face
        3) One of the worst actors to ever exist. Keanu only has two facial expressions and a monotone yet he’s a billion times the actor of this moron.

      • The irony…

“Ashton Kutcher’s second ‘Two and a Half Men’ episode: Do we still care?”

This coming from a pack of whornalists who report every burp, fart and nosepick from the cast of “Glee” as breaking news. And don’t even get me started on Charlie Sheen or Lady Gaga.

      • John

Loved Charlie Sheen but he was running out of material on two and a half men. Ashton brings a much needed new character to the show. Much funnier!

      • Damo

Really? I didnt know the show needed to die a painful death.

        Crazy huh.

        Go away ashton…

      • Amy

Charlie Sheen was getting tired. His material was old. Ashton (Walden) is a much funnier character. Enjoy the show much more now.

      • Damo

Yesm lie more we believe you.

if you like this show now, you never liked it before.

      • Patty

Ashton is ok, but not for this show. Since Charlie didn’t work out, I believe a more seasonal actor would play a better role. The writers lost their humor in this show. Too much sex!! Atleast with Charlie the sex was implied, not in your face.

    • Brad

The show plays off Charlie Sheen’s actual real life bad-boy persona, and so his character on the show is what folks come to expect, Charlie Sheen, for better or worse, is playing himself on the show.

A third-rate stand-in can’t possibly replace the original..I know Charlie Sheen, and Kutchner is no Charlie Sheen.

      • Dave

I agree Charlie playing basically himself added a lot to the humor. However, I still think the writing and acting was good enough on it’s own to be a great show. As such, if there really was no way to bring Sheen back, it’s too bad they didn’t find some actor to literally replace Charlie. This isn’t quite replacing…this is going 90 degrees sideways and a few thousand miles. Might have even worked with the existing cast, sans Charlie.

      • kellybelly

The show is just bland now. I think Ashton is terribly miscast. He is playing “Kelso” from “That 70′s show”. And not really a character you want to base an entire show around. Also, it’s not very believeable that Berta would be so entranced by him, and that chick that dated Charlie. Walden is just not that drop dead attractive. He’s cute. But nothing to warrant the Berta and Beach chicks reactions. It just rings so false. The writers are writing the same way for a “charlie-type” character, but they DON’T have that character type anymore. Unless they start writing for Walden or get rid of Walden and cast someone else….the show is going to continue to be dull.

      • kellybelly

I actually would have preferred it just being Alan and Co. for a month or so. Or at least a couple of episodes. Before they brought in a so-called “replacement”. I know that this was Lorre’s “stick it to Sheen” moment, but I don’t think it served the story.
Still could have had the funeral…the whole bit. But waited to make Walden a full time character. Waited for him to buy the house. Had him show up at the beginning, making Alan spill ashes, but just waited to buy house. Let the other characters hang out and react to Charlies death. More girlfriends to show up. All that. It just seems that the creators wanted to move on with the exact same show, but without Sheen. But they have a new actor and character and it will never be the same. So they either have to stop writing for a Charlie character and write for Walden or get someone new.

      • joanb

I’ve never been a fan of Ashton and now more than ever. He needs a shampoo, haircut and a shave. How does Demi sleep next to him?

      • mbhicks

I agree with Kellybelly. I think they should have slowly worked in the Walden and maybe tweeked his character because as it stands right now Walden reminds me of a WALDO. I like most of Ashton’s movies and the 70′s show but his character here is with the scruffy look and 12 year old antics is all wrong.

    • Donna Tubbs

I tuned in tonight and it will be my last night. Just as I expected, Ashton Kutcher is NOT the right casting choice for this show. He doesn’t act. He just says lines like a big dumb clod. There is no chemistry with the other actors and no charisma. Seriously, cut your losses, pay him off and rehire Charlie. When he was there I laughed constantly. Tonight I laughed, maybe, three times and those were over lines from the regulars. Ashton is a bust. I’m watching the reruns from Charlie’s show.

      • Lucy

I agree, Kutcher is a clod and has lousy acting ability on this show!

      • Diane

It was painfully bad. I kept flipping channels everytime Kutcher was on-which is too bad because I love Judy Greer and she’s an exciting addition to the cast

      • Sassy Sally

I wholeheartedly agree!!! It was awful!! Chuck Lorre made a huge mistake in firing Charlie Sheen. He should’ve minded his own business & kept his nose out of Charlie’s personal life, which was his own!! He came to work everyday & on time & did a great acting job, unlike Ashton….boring, I never laughed once last night.

      • Sally

I agree – terrible show so far. Might give Ashton a chance one more time, but that’s it!!! His character, that Chuck Lorre came up with was awful and so boring! Chuck too a good thing and ruined it!! Even the other actors aren’t as good anymore. They all reacted off Charlie’s character, terrifically. As the old saying goes Chuck….”if it ain’t broke, than don’t fix it!” : – )

      • Rinka

I think Chuck Lorre was forced into a position where there was nothing else to do but fire Sheen. That said, Kutcher is just a poor actor with a very limited range. He’ll be doing Kelso variations for the rest of his life. It was just bad casting and the show is starting to move from awkward to boring.

      • Johnny Caravella

I agree with Donna Tubbs. Two episodes into the “new” Men and I haven’t even come close to laughing at anything Kutcher does or says. The other characters–mainly Alan and Berta–are still funny but Kutcher is out of his league here and sticks out for all the wrong reasons. Walden is perhaps even dumber than Jake, and Jake is not funny. All he does is fart, tell fart jokes and eat like a pig. All Walden does is prance around naked and whine about his broken heart. Charlie had charisma, was smart, and had a wickedly twisted sense of humor. This show is D.O.A.

      • sheen fan

Agreed, but if you want to see Kutcher acting funny in a role, try to catch the butterfly effect. His apptempt at a dramatic role was just as hilarious as that movies ridiculous premise.

      • jg

I agree with most comments, will watch the reruns from now on, Charlie made the show.

      • jon

without charlie I now have no reason to watch the show

      • diane

        You stated my feelings exactly!!

      • sam

Kutcher couldn’t make the school play…a crappy actor. They should have gone with a no-name actor that could perform, just like his contemporaries on the show. Stamos actually has timing, always has. he was funny in his 30 seconds!

      • dirty30

I agree the re runs are better than the new ones

    • brian

the show sucked with Charlie, what’s the difference now?

      • Silv

Exactly, brian. People don’t seem to remember how awful it was last season, and before that… just watch the re-runs. After a while you want to smack each one of the characters, and then yourself for watching.

      • Fletch

You say the show sucked with Charlie ? That is your opinion. This season will not finish unless you bring Charlie back.

      • Robin

blabla everything to bash Sheen right ?
This show sucked far more than when Sheen (his character was the only originality to this CBS sitcom) was on it, deal with it whether you like or don’t like (your case i know..how predictable eyeroll..) what tabloids say about Sheen real life.

      • eyeroll

@ brian…what are you doing on this page here then (in case you didn’t notice: this is a TWO AND A HALF MEN FAN PAGE, or at least a page for pple who are interested in taahm).
Totally understandable that people post their opinion about taahm, they either like the new show, or they hate it, but if you didn’t like it before, and don’t like it now, (1) why did you watch it back then? (2) why are you watching it now? and (3) why the h*** are you POSTING here then?!?!?! *eyeroll*

      • Juliet.Wood-Warren

        Ashton can’t help 2 1/2 men it’s over.

      • Dalton

Jon i agree with you. Many people have tried to get me to watch the show but i never do because i know its no good.

      • Cindy

Its obvious that anyone that anyone that thinks the show is better now without Charlie must work for or be invested with the network. Charlie was great because hia character was so like himself in real life. I do think that for his own health Charlie should have slowed down on his partying. Celebrities should not be a role model for anyone except to their own family and close friends .Its really none of our business what they do on their own time. I think the tv show isn’t even close to being entertaining anymore. Charlie was the center of the show in my opinion and I just don’t see the humour in it anymore. Bad decision on the networks behalf to let him go.

    • I Promise I Am Not Charlie Sheen

      Please bring back Charlie Sheen.

      • Lynda Cross

Please bring Charlie Sheen back. The show will never make it without him in it. All of our family and friends feel the same way. I watch the reruns during the day just to see him on the show again. I won’t watch it anymore unless he comes back!

      • G

RESURECT CHARLIE! ! Most of the free world does not give a rat’s behind what Charlie Sheen does in his personal life.. I agree with Lynda C’s comments.
TWO AND A HALF MEN, will not make it through another season without Charlie.
Charlie is as good an actor as his Daddy and his brother.

    • Francine

I agree it is not the same, I used to really laugh now I switch from that and Dancing w/ the stars.. I really do not find any humor to a man coming out wrapped in a towel and especially with children watching and the he should do something with his hair to old for long hair..completely disappointed..

    • cregis

Agree. Doesn’t Cryer seem too old to be palling around with Kutcher? This 2nd episode was just tiresome.

      • Amity

i agree…thought the 1st ep was ok..but by the 2nd, i was bored…and do they think we are stupid that we didnt notice waldens wife is herbs sister??…

    • Michelle

What about the fact that the ex-wife is being played by Aunt Myrna. Did they think we wouldn’t notice?????

      • sara

I agree!! lame casting for the ex.

      • Conni

Although I like the actress who plays the ex she will always be “Aunt Myrna”, strange casting!

      • kellybelly

        Who’s Aunt Myrna?
Judy Greer just came off her recently canceled series “Mad Love”. Which was totally hilarious BTW.

      • Sandra

Do the writers think we are stupid. I guess they thought dying her hair would make us not remember she was also Aunt Myrna. Maybe they should have left Ashton’s name as Kelso. the show sucks! It isnt even funny!

      • Melzy

HAHAHA – I thought I was the only person who noticed. I haven’t heard anyone else mention it.

      • Kristen

What if she is really still playing Aunt Myrna and she cheated on Walden with Charlie?

      • Amity

true..didnt see your comment when i posted that…

    • filmfan

I disagree. I am loving the show. I wish ‘Jake’ had more to do but the new stuff is really working for me.

      • Debbie

There are so many story lines that could work IF they BRING CHARLIE back!! Ashton doesn’t cut it at all! It’s Kelso all over again.

Charlie could be a ghost, but I would love it, if like someone mentioned, Rose held him captive, and/or he somehow escapes with no memory of who he is and somehow winds up back at his front door!!

Now that Charlie has settled the agreement with Chuck Lorre and CBS, would it be a possibility to let bygones be bygones and bring back the reason the show was such a hit in the first place??? I think the ratings would go through the roof. Isn’t that what the network and viewers want??

      • Donna

I seem to be liking the new show too. My only question is, where does Rose fit in since her entire being is to stalk Charlie. I like Rose but what story line can save her character?

      • movie addict

If you like Kutcher acting you are NOT a FILM fan change your name please.
Looking forward to watch Sheen come back making movies (yeah Roman Coppola !)

      • Just Me

I agree I would like to see more of Jake! He has been a great asset to the show! However- I do not like the Ashton charater. Sad and sloppy. Snooze-fest!! If you can’t bring Charlie back at least try to find a better replacement charater. Ashton playing Kelso wasn’t funny THEN and isn’t funny NOW. Nothing personal, just don’t like the dumber than dumb Walden. Didn’t he say he sold some program to microsft or Bill Gates or something to become a billionaire? How could a obvious idiot have written that program? It story just don’t fit. I don’t think I will continue to watch even though I love the other actors/actresses. So Sad!

      • Robert

Obviously you do not know the difference between comedy and night of the living dead.Do yyou know the name of that image your looking at that gives you the show.About 98% of the audience miss Charlie Sheen. He is real a serious jerk in real life is why he made the show so successful.Cushner really is a true not funny idiot in real life.
Robert d Scher ABC comedy central

    • lynn

I am hoping that “Rose” may be wrong that Charlie is dead. They brought J.R. Ewing “Dallas” back right? I was trying to “Like” the new show, but I hate it. So lame. Wrong Wrong Wrong approach. I wish they would have just done a spin off staring Berda. Please bring Charlie Sheen back OR some other smart writer start another show with Sheen and their own spin off. I will watch that!!!

    • Gary

Be honest. The appeal of the original show was based on sexual innuendo. This new show should just be called “The Dork”!…and then cancelled! The current lack of appeal is not on Ashton, it’s on the creators!

      • kellybelly

Agree. It has nothing to do with being a Sheen fan or not, the writing is just not good so far this season. And Ashton is miscast.
Now if they had cast John Stamos or someone who is good looking and a good actor — then they can keep writing the same way. But with Ashton…falls flat . They need to write for Walden. Or not renew his contract and get someone else.

      • sue

Agreed!!, Did they fire the writers too? Last nights episode was far worse than the first. Did anyone read Lorre’s statement at the end. Pathetic. I deleted it off of my DVR settings. One person can not make it or break it, I loved the show and Sheen ,as well as, his character. But, it was the writing that used to be brilliant. It had started gradually going down hill last season, but, this season has started as a dive off of a cliff. What happened??????

      • Suz

The Dork— LOL, You got that right. It isn’t funny it’s just plain a bad chracter and a bad script. The cast just doesn’t click anymore. The timing for the should be jokes are off. Makes me sad, I use to laugh and look forward to the show.

    • Kerri

Basically, they just need to call the show something else and forget any comparisons or references to Charlie. I long ago tired of Charlie Harper’s narcissism and Alan Harper’s neediness. If I knew any of these characters in real life, I wouldn’t keep them in my life because they are just too taxing.

Now we have Dumb and Dumber and Dumber Jr., and I don’t know how to feel about it anymore. I like all of the actors; I just need to like the show. I’ll give it a few more episodes… but not much more than that and I’ll do so thinking of it as a whole new show.

      • Helen

Just “thinking of it as a whole new show” won’t make it any better. It was the worst of the worst! The Death Knell has sounded for this show but CBS/Lorre refuse to believe that it’s dead. They’re totally ignoring any negativity towards the show and only talk about the big numbers that they got, little realizing that they were due to curiosity, for the most part. Long live Charlie!

    • renee

The writting is really bad and slow…Where is Angus T?Its supposed to be a show focusing on the family and its way off course! Glad they didnt show a body maybe they can fire Ashton and bring Charlie back…

      • Kerri

Hubby brought that up during the 1st show. All we have is Rose’s word and some ashes. Who is to say she has Charlie stashed away somewhere and is faking his death so she can have him all to herself and punish him for his honemoon behavior? It’s nice to have a crazy character who can do anything with impunity.

    • what

it’s an insult to us who have watched this series for 8 years……..BRING SHEEN BACK……

    • Vlad

Perhaps by burying Charlie in a closed casket, Lorre subconsciously opened for himself a way out in case the new incarnation of Two-and-a-Half Men flops (and the inevitable hit to CBS shareholders). Charlie Harper might rise from the dead thanks to his committed psychotic friend Rose, who initially took the sin of lying to everyone about his tragic accident, while Charlie simply decided to enjoy a life in Paris for some time, undisturbed by his ubiquitous family. I can foresee incredible plot twists when Charlie at last comes back to find out his house has been sold to an immature billionaire. A plethora of legal (and amusing) conundrums will definitely emerge out of this new line of collision, with Alan inevitably falling in-between.

      • Lucy

I think a good idea would be if CBS pulled a Bob Newhart and have Charlie wake up from a bad dream…this would allow the sitcom to continue and still be realistic….

    • jojo

the show is good it needed something different anyway

    • julesstl

I was the biggest Two and a half men star ever. I never missed an episode. I am so dissapointed in the disrespect they showed Charlie in the 1st episode by using a dustbuster to vacuum his ashes and how no one even had time to grieve his death. Jake was a big part of Charlie’s life and he has not even mentioned him. Shame on u Chuck Lorre for firing him. He went through a crazy stage, many stars do. I watched his roast and Charlie Sheen is back. I love him no one can replace him. Ashton is playing the same goofy character he always does. The plot line is horrible. They could of had a long lost son that Charlie didn’t know about show up. NO ONE CAN REPLACE CHARLIE. Ratings may be high now but each week they will slack off.

      • Barbara

Charlie WAS two & a half men. I hate the way they killed Charlie off & the whole funeral thing. Really sucked!! I will only watch reruns from now on. Hope the show is dropped and Charlie gets the last laugh. Chuck Lorre screwed up. Hope he realizes it.

    • myckii

..if Charlie’s character is truly dead. then so is the show! The show was written for Charlie Sheen not Ashton and Ashton will never ‘fit’ Charlie’s character. They should get Charlie back or replace the show…

    • Grumpster

Damned the spammers trying to sell crap and peddle their idiotic dating sites. Do any of you fools actually fall for these fakers?

    • Rene

Ashton Kutcher is not as funny on the show as Charlie Sheen. He needs to wash, and cut his hair(awful), Charlie’s character was better and he is a better actor.

      • Amity

and whats with the ponytail ?…errgghh…

    • sorry

Oh my! And they played Alan gay during the Charlie years? Aston’s character seems really gay….2nd episode was like they were trying to make Alan into Charlie and Aston into Alan….not sure I will watch much more. Too bad, cuz we liked the laughs and comedy. The “new” version just doens’t get it.

    • jen leon

put a fork in it, the show is done

    • jm

I do miss Charlie … he made the show. What happened to Rose, or will they dump her next?
It is sad because this was a great show.

    • Nate Thompxon

I looked very hard for the funny. It wasnt there. Sorry aston, you were not ment for this part.

    • Patty

Yes, I agree! The show sucks! I tried to give it a chance, but it gives me a headache trying to watch. Ashton is no Charlie Sheen. Not even in comedy. Bring back Charlie from the dead if you can.

    • maryloubradford

haven’t watched the new show nobody can replace charlie sheen. I watch all the repeats instead

    • ron

i am done with the show w/o charlie i;ll wait for him in anger management in the summer of 2012

  • Wes

A lot of hype for what is now a so-so, run of the mill sitcom.

    • Samantha

Ugh yes. The show is so bad but for some reason people love it.

  • HugeFan

Show has a long way to go before I will stay a fan.

  • kathryn

    oh God it was awful

    • elaine

why go so far off the old story lines. charlie always had money so why not give the house to alan and build off of that. He could have thn saved the Dorks life and worked off that premise. what makes Ashton so sexy to anyone, he does not have a great body and he is just Kelso only older. Stupid Show I wiil not watch again

    • ROBERT

bring back charlie……he plays him self and thats what we like……

  • louis

how can the man be smart enough to make a billion dollars. but cant remember his shampoo. doesn’t make sense. well, until charlie comes back, no more two and a half men for me and my family.

Recall he was a computer nerd who’s program was bought by Microsoft for $1.8 billion dollars. Many computer nerds and nerds in general are socially inept, so that part is plausible.

      • steve o

Socially inept has noting to do his inability to pick out his own hygene products. The show is terrible and without Charlie it will not last. Charlie is still ”
        Winning”

    • carob

You’re making this too hard…He didn’t forget his shampoo type, just an excuse to call his ex. But he is stupid. I gave it a second chance because I felt the first episode with AK was do-able. This second one sucked, I couldn’t bear to watch it. Who ever the writers are, are just plain awful and the direction they are taking is just sad.

  • Swtndl81

Terrible!!! Bring back Charlie. Kelso sucks!

  • M. P

Two and a half men should either be cancelled or bring back Charlie, fast. Charlie made the show, so I can’t figure how they thought they’d make it far without him. It’s just a matter of time before everyone figures out it won’t work.

  • lynn holmes

Please give Charlie Sheen a call and offer him a spot back on the show as a ghost. The show right now sucks! Your show is ruining everyone elses career on the show! The economy is awlful and TV is all most of us have! It dosent matter if Charlie is nuts right now! The show would be even better than before if Ashton stayed and Charlie came back as a ghost! Please bring Charlie back Halloween week! We need to reach out to people with addiction problems but you guys are so stuck on yourselves that you cant do this! I will not be watching the show anymore and other people should also do that so we can save the show and all the actors! Thank you for yor time! very disapointed LYNN HOLMES!

    • Sarah

I like you. Your “The economy” line made me feel better about being broke and unable to go out right now.

      • Diane

        Ditto

    • U mad Bro?

Certainly there must be another way to occupy yourself for 30 minutes. Watch a different show, play with a ball of string or a shiny bauble, curiously peer at your own reflection perhaps? Any of these activities surely has the same entertainment value as 2 1/2 Men, with or without Chariie Sheen.

      • kylene

seems your a little bored too, just a statement iand i thought a great one!

    • blahblahblah

Chuck Lore is too rich to even care about the other actors career or the show.. or how horrible the economy is now. He just wanted to get back at Charlie, whom they had personal problems getting along. Sad for everyone involved, including us fans! I even think watching DWTS is better than the show now :-(

  • alec

I can now see how Charlie Sheen’s tiger blood genius made the rest of this cast bearable. Ashton exposes the lot as the third rate hacks that they are. Unbelievable. Charlie must be laughing his face off.

    • carob

Actually, Cryer is a better actor and a straight man for Sheen to play off of, it just worked. Ashton’s character is as stupid as Jakes and more annoying. The rest of cast was great really, if you pay attention, Sheen is not that great of an actor, he got better, but Cryer is better. Sheen just had the starting role and got good jokes/lines, it was his CHarper persona that worked. Ashton could make it work if they didn’t have him playing the part of an idiot.

      • Johnny Caravella

I’m pretty sure Kutcher isn’t “playing” an idiot; it comes naturally to him. Maybe Demi Moore will finally come to see this no-talent for what he truly is, but then again she’s not very bright or talented either.

  • JPX

Why did they pick a fat chick to be Walden’s ex-girlfriend? Surely he could do better.

    • Mark

Seriously? SERIOUSLY? You are a douche…. Judy Greer is not fat so either you are a troll or you have serious issues (well I guess if you are a troll you have issues too)….what’s your type Karen Carpenter?

    • Diane

Judy Greer is a talented, funny, charismatic woman with a great body and you JPX are the kind of idiot that causes women to have eating disorders. For shame!

      • Dorimifah Solatido

Don’t blame it on the guys – if a woman hates her own body enough to do it damage by starving herself, she makes the choice herself. Doing it for a man is a false pretense – no one should be that weak that their will is overborne by others.

  • Lydia

I thought Ashton Kutcher was fantastic but I really thought the departure they chose for Charlie was stupid! I Also didn’t like how they got Alan to live in the house.Very stupid really..I get it CBS wanted to make a statement by killing him off but it kind of ruined the introduction of Aston Kutcher in to the picture.

  • louis

chuck lorre, time to humble yourself and talk to charlie man to man. the show was huge for both of you, charlie needs to come back before two and a half men lose some loyal fans

    • jane

yes they need to bring back charlie at least as a ghost since they killed him off to harrass alan LOL

    • julesstl

I agree completely. Man up Chuck… Charlie admitted what not to say to your boss at the Charlie Sheen roast. He is out of his crazy stage. Talk man to man and get him back. Otherwise the show may make it thru one season but that would probably be it.

    • nancy poole

I AGREE 100% GET CHARLIE BACK. THIS SHOW WILL NOT LAST AT ALL WITHOUT HIM

  • LOL

    America loves crap.

    • Dave N

America DOES love crap. Just look at the dancing shows, house live-in shows, and especially their choice in presidents. Mindless and “smiley face” mentality. 2.5 men – has always been about tasteless jokes under the guise of a rich person’s wrapping. The message was, and still is that – no matter how you package it, it’s still crrrrap.

      • carob

I agree, although I enjoyed it for the most part, some of the graphic high-school jokes were annoying…Jake so gets on my nerves. Forget Charlie, his last few episodes sucked, he lost the appeal, might as well trash this whole thing and come up with a different idea for a sitcom.

  • Karen

First show was ok rating was huge because many wanted to know how charlie died but the second tonight was bad very Berta talking in her head after evertything walden said terrible takes away Bertas personality of who we have seen for so long and liked and the rest was just not good at all if you want the show,to survive bring sheen back he is willing he said or this will be the shows last season as for me no more two and a half men

    • Sarah

I know!!!! I HATED the new Berta bull crap! So stupid how she’s thinking all her lines. Rolling my eyes the whole show!

    • Rick Woods

Totally agree with you Karen. This second show sucked and I expected so much more. Ashton sucks on this show and his delivery is so boring. I know he is playing that as his charactor, but it is so depressing the story line and nothing was working right last night. I’ve been a faithful viewer for all the years, but without Charlie to make the show, this show is done. Someone had a great idea of Charlie coming back as a ghost. He should and only Alan can see him and talk to him and then they could do something around that premise for a year and then kill off the show! You blew it Chuck Lore!

      • joseky

a good idea to bring back Charlie is that he is not death, he is a prisoner of Rose in a dungeon, she put a dead body from a homeless to fools everybody…she did it because Charlie discovered the true about Manny

  • Marty

The saying ‘The King is dead; long live the King’ does not apply to the 9th series of Two and a Half Men; Charlie Sheen rules. The show is dead without him. Good effort from the rest of the cast but they cannot put life into something that is already dead and buried.

    • Cathy Hudson

I could not even set through the whole first show. They should have just let Charlie move to Europe and brought a room mate in for Alan. I won’t be watching anything but reruns.

    • ellen

I thought I was one of a few. I can’t sit through the whole show. I love the remaining cast, but the show is just not the same.

      • pat

Ashton ruins the show I think, who wants to watch a rich retard, not me! I like the cad type like Charlie, the show is going down, sorry but true! Is so totally different now, never be the same, best bring Charlie back from the dead or get cancelled!!!!

    • Colleen

Call me when sheen comes back or don’t call at all. I’ll never watch this idiotic character kutcher is playing, and playing badly. How lame do the writers think the American public is? And why was a previous character (Myrna) cast as a new character…did they think we wouldn’t notice?
