Alec Baldwin and John Krasinski turn baseball feud into a pissing contest

It’s official. Last night, the New York Yankees clinched the American League East division with a double-header sweep of Tampa Bay. But the Red Sox are still in the race for the postseason, as they come to New York tomorrow for a three-game series. More importantly, John Krasinski and Alec Baldwin are still committed to their New Era rivalry, which took an Odd Couple twist when Baldwin was forced to go into hiding after burning down his apartment building. How committed? Well, battle lines have literally been drawn down the middle of Krasinski’s apartment for the last chapter of their season-long feud. Baldwin still resists covering his power-hair, but a Yankees cap at least rests nearby, and the tension of a September showdown between the two hated rivals turns out to be just too much for one of them. Take a leak look.

Wow. Didn’t see Baldwin Bill Buckner’ing himself, for lack of a better term, coming. Actually, that was a little scarring. But please, New Era, make this feud go into extra innings.

Love these ads. The agency who came up with them is to be commended, these are funnier than many sitcoms.

Agreed! While this is my least favorite of the bunch they’ve releaseed so far, I laughed more in one minute than I do during an entire episode of Two & A Half Men.

    LOL fantastic!!

A truly funny concept that is losing some luster. It’s very cool that these guys really are big fans of their respective teams and the rivalry is good and strong. Going into “extra innings” is a great idea, but it looks like the Red Sox might not hold on for the real playoffs…. They seem to be on a very slippery slope. It will be much funnier if there was some new New Era commercial to debut if they were really going to play one another in the playoffs…

I just found a website (a tumblr blog I think) yesterday called The Faces of Jim Halpert, and it’s page after page of John Krasinski as Jim Halpert’s face in different facial expressions. I watched it for hours, entranced…..and in love….

EW did you HAVE to provide a link to the Bill Buckner video? Those ghosts are dead buried and gone. Welcome to the 21st century where the Red Sox have won more World Series than any other team.

That never would have heeapnpd before 2004. It never ceases to amaze me how much the curse meant to Yankees fans. You would thing 26 titles (and now 27) would be enough.
