I’m 33, so I do understand, yet I wasn’t as blown away by the character of Charles as everyone else seems to be. He’s intimidating, but I don’t understand why he would be more powerful than anyone else from his generation. I guess my issue is story conformity. If he’s from the same circle as Amelia and Ethan, so how is he more powerful, at least enough to kill them both? I realize it’s the first episode, so I’m going to give them time to give me this answer, but right now I’m annoyed. I do think that Gale is having a blast with the role.
Like others of the older generation, I will watch TSC as long as Gale Harold is in it. I thought the pilot was okay, but some of it was just silly and the grandmother sadly is written like a total retard (like the whole driving alone across the country thing and not going into hyperdrive to get Cassie out of town as soon as she heard about her car bursting into flames), I don’t mind suspending disbelief, but I’m afraid I can’t switch off my logic circuits so easily. But, like I say, as long as the wonderful GH is in it, I’m a fan.
Watching TSC i felt it was to young for me.TVD was the worst opener i ever saw and felt i out grew that show. IM STICKING WITH SUPERNATURAL.
I’m in for both for the same reasons as you Mandi. Gale Harold is the reason I will watch TSC! Hope he gets the screen time he so deserves!
Fans of TVD are forgetting just how boring the pilot episode of TVD was, and the fact that Nina Dobrev wasn’t all that better than Ashlee Simpson from CW’s ill fated MELROSE PLACE in the beginning.
TSC in my opinion, had a far better pilot episode and the cast is also better than TVD. The only good thing about TVD is Ian Sommerhalder.
Anyways, I’ll only be tuning in for TSC. I hope it holds up against its new competition starting this week.
I agree that tsc had a better pilot than tvd. TVD has so much more than just Ian Sommerhalder (not that he isn’t great,because he is) .
They had me at “Gale Harold.”
Gotta admit I only watched TSC cuz of Gale Harold but I think this show is gonna be a lot of fun & hopefully will keep me intrigued! I liked the first episode & hope Gale gets a lot of scenes!!!!!!!!!!
i love brian.. i mean gale! all of these kiddies need to watch “queer as folk” that will open their eyes a bit to gald harold. i loves him.
I agree with Kate…i’m giving TSC a chance cuz it really looks promising. I’ll keep following it, as long as Kevin Williamson is on board. I’m already hooked on TVD so he must be doing smth right
