Producers of the upcoming Broadway show Seminar have rounded out their cast — with Jerry O’Connell. The Stand By Me star joins Alan Rickman, Hettienne Park, Hamish Linklater, and recent Tony nominee Lily Rabe in the new comedy, which was written by Pulitzer finalist Theresa Rebeck (who’s also hard at work on NBC’s midseason Broadway-set musical show, Smash). He’ll play one of four student scribes taking private classes with Rickman’s “recklessly brilliant” and “unorthodox” writer. According to the press release, alliances will be “made and broken, sex is used as a weapon, and hearts are unmoored.” Previews begin Oct. 27 with an opening night scheduled for Nov. 20.

Ham vs Ham
O’Connell is not even gonna be able to “hold his own” opposite Rickman. There are *no* words.
There is something silly scary about Jerry O’connell. I can’t watch him.
O’Connell is great in this play. I just saw it. He is great.
I just saw it and it was amazing. All the actors were wonderful and Jerry did a fantastic job. Alan Rickman was spectacular as always.
