Kate Gosselin lands on Anderson Cooper's RidicuList for her babysitter blowout, general awfulness

If this clip of Kate Gosselin garnered this kind of reaction from Anderson Cooper, one can only imagine/look forward to what Joel McHale will have to say about it. During last night’s Anderson Cooper 360, the silver fox wasn’t having it with dreadful reality TV mom Kate Gosselin and rightly placed her on his RidicuList. Only this time, no one was laughing. Not Gosselin, who was pissed off at her babysitter Ashley for… something; not Steve the Security Guard whose slice of “reserved pizza” (you can do that?!) was handed to him by the peasant hands of a lowly child; not babysitter Ashley who reached her breaking point with her harpy employer; and definitely not Cooper, who documented the Kate Plus 8 moment for his viewers with total contempt. His reaction at 2:39 really says it all, doesn’t it, PopWatchers? Watch the full clip below:

Hey, look on the bright side Anderson, Ashley, and America, there’s only one more week left of this madness. Kate Plus 8‘s final episode airs on Monday, Sept. 12.

This was incredibly awesome! This made my morning…. :-)

    • Alan

The thing is that Kate played the victim card. If you watch the episode, after Ashley quits, she later whines about everyone in her life leaves her. Probably alluding to the fact that her parents, brother, sister-in-law, friends, husband, etc. have all shut her out of their life. For about 2 seconds I felt sorry for her but then realized that it’s entirely self inflicted!!

      • Mom1

Totally. Kate is a psycho, seriously, just waiting to destruct – again.

      • JM

Poor kids. And their father is too stupid to help.

      • Jemma

gee wonder why everyone in her life leaves her…think she needs ALOT of meds

      • shelly

        common denominator? kate

      • Regina George

        Kate, you need therapy.

      • Colleen

The problem is that Kate fails to realize that not only do these people leave her life, but they are also leaving her eight childrens’ lives as well, which is sad. Her behavior needs to change for the simple reason that it is taking so many people away form her children that they are close to. It’s not fair to them!

    • Jemma

I loved the clip ..Gosselin sure is an idiot and can’t the body guard (boyfriend) get his own pizza…..?????Thank God there is not more Gosselin show…Good bye Gosselins

    • gaby

I am so sick of that woman using her children to make money….I know what she should do…WORK!!!…If you wanted all 8 kids….you work….My aunt had 12 and she and her husband worked to support all of their kids…Kate is mentally unstable. I just feel the kids are the ones who will never have any sort of “normal” childhood. To get upset over the bodyguard not getting a slice of pizza, how dumb? and then to take it from her own kid….lady get your priorities straight….kid/family first….boyfriend or bodyguard a distant second. And stop with the victim card….grow up

  • Enough

In this economy, I hate to see anyone lose their job. But Kate Gosselin has had her fifteen minutes. You can’t help but be annoyed by her erratic behavior if you watch the show (which I don’t), or happen to see a commercial while watching other programming on TLC (got me there). This is what happens when someone mishandles fame. It’s pathetic.

    • Flyer

Funny, I thought the person you were going to feel sorry for was Ashley, the baby-sitter. Even in this economy, it just goes to show that SOME jobs are just not worth the pay.

      • Enough

I don’t feel sorry for any of them. Ashley knew who she was working for when she got the job. But you’re right. Some jobs are just not worth the pay.

  • Art

You don’t care that much about feeding the bodyguard unless you’ve been boning him.

    • Jill S

Yep! It became SO apparent in that exact moment what was going on. Gossiip mags were 100% right all along.

      • staci

Jill you are so right! my husband and I were laughing so hard watching her defend her “man’s” pizza. He is a bodyguard, surely he can defend his own pizza!

      • Joan Crawford

Can’t a grown man purchase his own pizza??

    • Cara

I thought the same thing! She is way too concerned with his preferences, and totally rude to Ashley. Aren’t they both her employees?

      • Jill S

She screamed, “Steve doesn’t eat mac and cheese OR salad!” He’s hired help. Who cares? SHE cares.

      • Kate Gosselin

        “He eats me!”

      • molly

Seriously. One employee is in a RV eating with the 8 kids, and the other “employee” is in another with Kate. Yeah they’re both supposedly employees, but yet she’s yelling at one because the other one doesn’t have pizza? Yeah, she’s so doing him.

      • Lisa

I really can’t stand Kate….but…in her defense..Steve may have purchased the pizzas and asked that they save him a slice when everyone was done for him to eat later. He didn’t eat Mac n cheese so pizza was what he had. I have been in that position where people didn’t respect that something was being saved for someone else and then ignorantly ate it. As much as I hate her the others pissed me off even more at that time

    • Jemma

      correct

    • Victoria

That’s exactly what was running through my head…. No-one would care that much and know that much about him unless they were hooking up…

  • Vigs

Wait. Who’s “Jamie” in the closed-captioning? Why is the show carrying captioning? I mean, I understand the need for it with The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but these people are speaking American English. I’m so confused. Clearly I need to watch this show to understand more!

    • Guy Smiley

She was slagging Katie under her breath. That was the best part of the Cooper clip. I don’t watch the show but I hope they do it until Kate finds out.

    • Avi

I think Jamie is her friend. How she still has friend I’ll never know. Good on the babysitter for quitting. I was hoping she’d give Kate a good punch in the face on her way out of that horrific job.

    • SM

There were two other adult women on the trip, one was the babysitter and the other was a friend, who had brought along her 3 kids as well.

      • dogfoot

Most of that clip featured Jamie, Kate’s “BFF.” It was only Ashley toward the end, and Ashley who did in fact leave early. Really sad for the kids, because it seemed that Ashley was great with them, and it’s just one more person they loved who Kate drove away. Can’t blame Ashley, though – how she put up with that witch for so long is incredible.

    • JRE

That’s Kate’s “best friend”. She did have her children as well, which Kate complained about bitterly. Something like, “Jamie’s supposed to be her to help me and instead she’s paying attention to her kids.”

In case you missed the count, there’s Kate, Steve the bodyguard, Ashley, Jamie, and 11 kids (plus the filming crew but I won’t count them here.) That comes out to be about 3 kids to an adult we see on camera. We’re not talking an unreasonable adult to child ratio here.

The scary thing is that this is not the section of the show that Kate looks the worst in. I’ve not watched the show since the first season when I picked up on the true Kate, but decided to catch the end of the series after hearing TLC either didn’t or wouldn’t edit all of it away. WOW!

      • Joan Crawford

“Pated attention to her own kids?”…. what a foreign concept!! …….see that is something Kate just will never understand!!

  • Nicole

Kate is insufferable. It broke my heart when Maddie was sobbing. She didn’t know she wasn’t supposed to eat the pizza. What a horrible, wretched woman.

    • Nancy

Seriously, your heart just aches for Maddie.

    • jwoolman

I wish the dad could get full custody of at least the older twins if he can’t rescue the younger ones. It’s quite possible to raise a large family without wealth, other parents of multiples have managed. Kate (probably with a raging case of pathological narcissistic personality disorder, among other things) doesn’t even pretend to like Mady anymore. Mady is like the kid in the story about the Emperor Has No Clothes – she sees through her mom and speaks the truth. Lots of therapy in those kids’ futures, and it’s not because of their dad. He’s the only normal affectionate parent they have, they need more time with him. Let Kate pretend to be a celebrity all by herself.

      • NoChance

Agreed, jwoolman. When was the last time he was in the media? He has a private relationship with his kids and tried to get them off TV but the state sided with Kate in her need to keep them on TV.

  • Nancy

I watched this episode only because it is the second to last episode and the whole show Anderson could rip apart. I don’t know how he could only stop with the pizza. Kate was a nasty hag the entire trip. I was wishing the guide on the raft would have dumped her in the river. The whole time I felt sorry for all the kids. Kate makes all the “Toddler and Tiara” parents look normal.

    • John Q Public

They could only afford one pizza? Shouldn’t the bodyguard/gigilo be eating with the film crew? Wrap it in foil? Kate needs all that foil for her helmet so the she can block out all those voices from space.

      • A Fan

I was thinking the same thing. I guess one is enough if there’s salad, mac/cheese & fries. WTH? Those poor children…

    • Alan

I felt bad for them too. Especially when the kids were right there. Poor Maddy was sitting right there while the Kate screamed and raged about her holding the pizza with her hands. Maddy’s fragile enough already, can you imagine how that made her feel? And later Kate tried to brush it off by saying people should understand that she yells when she’s stressed, but not to take it personally. When, there’s a breaking point. I really wonder if Kate’s kids will become estranged from her eventually at one point.

      • nunya

Well, a kid is going to take it personally because you’re right, they are fragile. Yelling that is “disgusting” that a child touched a piece of pizza with their “dirty hands” can only do wonders for their self esteem.

    • Kay

Yes, she kept complaining how she doesn’t like the water and didn’t want to get wet. But yet in one of the earlier shows when they were at that RV Park and all the kids were in that dirty water and they were smearing each other with mud (or whatever that sludge was) Kate was right there with them getting dirty. And another show where they went to Sea World and she was right there in the water swimming with the dolphins. She didn’t seem to mind the water then. But in this show she did not want to get wet while White Water Rafting! She is an idiot and needs some serious psychotherapy. No wonder all of her friends leave her. She complains and makes their live miserable enough that they can’t stand to be around her. And she is too stupid to realize it.

  • Loyalty

    Kate –
    are you looking to debate
Is it truly thin ice you skate
I think the poor nanny should be irate
at our horrible behavior about what you ate
Sad is the day you will be late
Sad is the hour that you migrate
to a time where we will not see you imitate
a human being that you have abdicate

Boo hoo and good bye Kate
    I do hate
    to say at this date

    This is your fate
Disappear to you and your future mate.

Love your less than devoted fan – Nate

    • UGH

      Bravo.

    • david

WOW! – I totally agree with you – well said

    • Kate Gosselin

      Roses are red,
      violets are blue.
      Everything you just said,
      ALL OF IT IS TRUE!

      • Linda K

Kate, kate – is that really you. I am you least bestest fan. Please come back to TV – gotta have more kids though your litter is getting too uncute and mouthy. Maybe some duct tape will resolve the issue.

  • jj6

how does pizza and fries for the adults and salad for the kids make even the tiniest bit of sense? Seriously?

    • Miss Bliss

They had mac and cheese to go with their salad….

    • AAR

It was pizza for the adults, mac and cheese and fries for the kids, and everyone could have salad (yes, I actually watched this train wreck of a show). What you don’t see before this is the two RVs ribbing each other fairly good-naturedly: “We’re the party bus!” “No, we are!” etc etc. It’s only when Jamie, the friend, says, “We have all the pizza!” does it go wrong. The color drains out of Kate’s face and her mood abruptly shifts. You can almost see the wheels turning in her head: Someone else has all the food. Someone else has control of when and what we eat. Thus, the ensuing meltdown.

      • heej

        Exactly. Someone else has power.

      • Alan

Actually, I found the “ribbing” to be very borderline between and was actually more of a clenched teeth-almost-going-too-far-pretending-to-be-joking type of thing. It was very uncomfortable.

      • nunya

How does one “reserve a piece of pizza” the night before?

      • pastafarian

As goes the Party Bus, so goes the pizza.

  • ERNIE

    Just go away already!

    I’d still hit it.

    • Hal Atosis

Can I reserve seconds? Do I have to do it the night before?

    • Glass Plus

Parking a hot dog in an airplane hanger after 8 kids.

      • molly

not that I want to encourage Ernie, but in response to your comment: having that many kids? it’s called having a c-section.

  • orville

Well, at least the kids can make some money later on with their “Mommy Dearest” type books.

  • KCVKC

    Wotta b!tch.
Nice looking, though. I’d probably have to duct-tape her mouth shut if I were to root her.
She should seriously consider posing nude before the well dries entirely up. She ain’t getting any younger.

  • Angie L

I hope Kate Gosselin fades away like her ex-husband did. She is a truly horrible woman. I feel sorry for her kids. I’ve never watched the show but I enjoy watching AC’s RidicuList!

  • Shelly

Kate is cray. I stopped watching the show after John left, but I was curious to see this episode because of the commercial, and also my curiosity to see what the children looked like as they have grown up. I DVRd it. Good thing I did. I could not take my eyes off Kate. What a trin wreck. She was a controlling, sarcastic nut the whole trip. Her and Steve have a deeper relationship than they claim. There were times when he would tell her to do this or that and she would shut up and do it. The guide on the water raft wanted to strangle her. She is so full of her self. Glad she had a babysitter that stood up and told her to kiss her arse. I don’t need to see anymore. I checked in after 3 years and her behavior is the same abusive, neurotic bejhavior it was when John was there. They kids try to be happy and free but she tries to squash that with her neurotic behavior every chance she gets.

    • Avi

Shockingly, Jon made her more tolerable. Now her ego is just running unchecked. A bunch of 6 year olds are no match for her. Poor kids, I hope TLC put aside money for them in the “My mom is a psycho and now I need a few decades of therapy” fund. Even before the divorce the kids always seemed happier with Jon.

  • Jerry

    Poor house, coming up!
The kids will be revisited in their own reality series, The Eight That Ate Kate,

    • UGH

I’d watch that! The zombie-thing is still “in”.

  • jack

    It is too late
    for the @ss named Kate
we will miss you – please just go away
    your ‘rapture’ is calling

    • Kate Gosselin

      Jack be nimble,
      Jack be quick.
Jack burnt off his f!cking d!ck.
