I hope all of you enjoyed a nice long Labor Day weekend. I’m happy to see that once again you were kind enough to make sure part of that extended weekend included your usual Monday night appointment with all of us at Bachelor Pad. Before I left the mansion after last week’s rose ceremony, I informed everybody that from now on they would be competing as a couple and would be voted off as a couple. This didn’t seem like huge news, but by the end of the episode you saw that it really was.
I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed hosting this week’s challenge. I loved The Newlywed Game and admire Bob Eubanks’ hosting skills. Oddly enough over the last couple of years I’ve had the honor of getting to know Mr. Eubanks, and have enjoyed our talks about TV and hosting shows. Who knows — some day soon I might even host a game show. Heading into the competition, I really thought Holly and Michael and Kasey and Vienna would have a huge advantage considering they had relationships heading into this game. I was wrong… again. The king and queen of the house, Michelle and Graham, devised an incredibly smart strategy and played it pretty much to perfection. They assigned numbers and names as answers to specific categories of questions, so no matter what the question they would always have the correct answer. It was funny to watch as the other contestants slowly caught on. I was just personally glad to know that Graham did not lose his virginity at seven years old.
Graham and Michelle won the competition and the roses, setting up an incredibly romantic date. I think you could all see this coming for weeks now. Graham and Michelle have played this game wisely, not letting their emotions get the better of them. But once they get out of the house you can see them let down their guard and really enjoy each other. Team “GQ” as I call them are certainly in control at this point in the game. I also have to give credit to Blake and Erica for doing so well in the competition. They knew nothing about each other the night before yet they did their homework and put it together pretty well. All this did unfortunately for Blake was earn him the most uncomfortable, awkward date ever. As Blake so eloquently put it, subtlety is not Erica’s strong suit. But in her defense, her astrologer did warn her there would be a romantic connection on Bachelor Pad.
Once again this week Michael and Holly had an intense moment discussing their relationship. Again I’m amazed at how open and honest they are. I’m also impressed that Holly has been able hold her ground and not just give in to Michael. It’s the safe, easy way out for her so while it’s tough to see, I do applaud her for sticking to her convictions.
Blake and Erica were given two roses on their date, but these roses had to be given to another couple. I know jaws dropped all over the country when they made the decision to save Kasey and Vienna. Somehow week after week these two find a way to survive. To secure their safety they promised Blake and Erica that they’d also be safe. That was a check Kasey was not actually able to write. Michelle’s feelings towards Blake combined with Graham’s strong alliance with Michael meant Kasey and Vienna had zero influence over anybody. The real irony this week was the entire vote came down to one woman, Holly. Holly was faced with the choice of going against the entire house and essentially sealing her fate, or saving her newfound crush Blake so they could stay together at least one more week. In the end she played it smart and played the game.
I get the sense that Blake is somewhat relieved to be out of that house and away from those women. He got a note from Holly, which is exactly what he was hoping to win. Next week the final four couples leave the mansion to earn a spot in the finals of Bachelor Pad. The two couples that earn a spot in the finals will have definitely earned it, as the final competition will challenge them like never before. The final two couples will then battle it out in front of a live studio audience and a jury of their peers. Until then you can always find me via Twitter @chrisbharrison.

Yes, I agree! Michael get over it! Leave Holly to find love somewhere else. You had your chance and you blew it. I agree with Holly that you had 3 months to talk to her and now you wait to see her on the Bachelor Pad. What’s different, nothing! Get over yourself.
I dont think everything in life is so cut & dry. So he saw her and fell in love again. My heart goes out to him and I hope he gets over her. He didnt bully her and say stop kissing Blake and stop hanging out with him. Michael said I know she is a free agent and she came in here single and she can do what she wants but it hurts to see. He is such a sweet heart and I hope he is the next Bachelor!
The one thing that Holly keeps conveniently forgetting is that SHE broke an ENGAGEMENT with Michael first over nothing other than cold feet. I don’t blame Michael for being gun shy and Holly needs to quit playing the victim. All of this drama is her fault, Michael can do SO much better than that vapid flirt, he needs to move on.

Giving the roses to Kasey and Vienna was the best option Blake and Erica had. Keeping Kirk and Ella on the chopping block was their only prayer of moving forward as the so-called “power couples” would not have turned on one another.

“Who knows–someday soon…”–I’m guessing this project is already in the works and VERY close to signed, sealed and delivered, Just hope it doesn’t interfere with this franchise. You’re a wonderful, necessary constant to each season.
It is- he’s got a show on ABC called “You Deserve It” where people play not for themselves, but for someone else who doesn’t know about it. It’s scheduled to take the DWTS spot after their season finishes up in late November…

Is it really a surprise? I didn’t look at the spoiler site but think about it. Everyone’s going to have been watching the show ahead of the finale. After seeing it all again, is there any way in hell anyone would really vote for Kasey and Vienna to win?
I already have a feeling V and K won’t make it, they are two drama freaks. Put two and two together, they are hated. However, that’s not nice. We enjoy the episodes as they occur, and don’t want to know too much.

o Vienna’s relationship with Kasey is a fraud. Kasey is into Vienna but she’s not into him. She even state if she had to choose between Kasey and the money she would go for the money. She is using him for support until she can find the next nimrod she can shack up with. Vienna is one of those girls that tells some horror story to the next potential shmuck so he will want to “save her”. Once she latches her leach like lips on a guy, she drains them dry and moves on to the next gullible loser. I believe she left Jake because he was in debt. Jake told Vienna and Kasey he would use the prize money for charity *cough* *BS* *Cough* *Cough*. Vienna mentioned to Jake his limo business was in the hole a few hundred thousands. Soooo with that said, Vienna wants a hot guy with a big bucks. Vienna doesn’t realize the older she gets the wiser men become and her looks fade. Her “my boyfriend was mean to me protect me and pay all my bills,” won’t work as well for her. She will end up capping her husband for the insurance money or working the streets.

Normally I don’t know which of those two I find more annoying…Last night, I have to give the trophy to Casey. He sounded passive aggressive just like Jake during the infamous break up interview…being disrespected because she was “yelling” at him and threatening to walk out if she did not cuddle with him. I wanted to reach through the TV and punch him…and not in the face!

Chris… come on… the producers should have disqualified Michelle and Graham. The game was “how well you know each other”… not “let’s do a trick so we don’t have to really know each other”. It really was unfair.
In their defense, what they did apparently wasn’t against the rules so I don’t think they should be DQ’ed for outsmarting the show’s producers; I actually thought it brilliant. Doubt we’ll see this game in future Pad seasons.
Strategy has been talked about in every episode & this was theirs. It took some thinking to come up with this idea & it worked. More power to them.

I disagree. The game is strategizing to stay in the Bachelor Pad. Michelle and Graham were smart enough to come up with a plan Good for them! I hope they win and have found love as a bonus! Vienna and Kasey continue to show their lack of class every week. Erica calls a spade a spade and she was right; they’re trailer trash. i cant wait to see them go home. I dont think Ella and Kirk have a chance to win but are sincerely nice, good people.
This is the first time anyone has shown a hint of logic in two seasons of the show. They should have handed them the cash immediately.

I am so over Vienna and Kasey at this point. It really did not matter who Blake and Ericka gave the roses to because their fate was already sealed with all the hate for Blake and the fact that they were not a part of the power couple alliances. It would have been a creative twist if Blake and Ericka were rewarded with the rose to save themselves. It would have actually been interesting to see the power couples forced to turn on each other sooner than expected and continue to have to endure Blake’s presence. At this point I don’t care who wins because they are all playing on the same level. I will pass on the finale because the final four do not deserve the prize money.
I was not sorry to see Blake & Erica go. Blake spoke of her manipulation when he is a master of it himself. He dug himself into the hole he deserved to be in.
Next week……..good bye, Kasey & Vienna. They continue to be disgusting.

I agree! Erica called V trailor trash, maybe she should look in the mirror. Maybe she’s not quite there, but she certainly is WAY too EASY! Blake was right not to sleep w/her. She should have gotten his msg when he walked off after she gave him that massage.

I was so devastated when Blake and Erica decided to save Kasey and Vienna. Their best bet was to save Ella and Kirk because they are also a power couple just as much as K and V are. Somehow I find Erica to have predicted the entire episode because she said that if Blake doesn’t follow “her way” they both will get voted off — in the end they did.

I just don’t understand it because wasn’t Erica trying to get K&V the last couple of weeks? She kept saying get rid of the power couple. What the heck happened? I think that if B&E had given the roses to Ella and Kirk, , E&K and Holly and Stag would have voted for K&V.. I couldn’t believe what idiots they were. They deserved to go home!

Graham was totally right when he said blake broke the “man code” in regards to Michael. holly is a witch for kissing, hugging, and loving blake right in front of her still in love ex! What part of Michael admitting that they were broken up and agreed to stay that way in the house – is against man-code. The game is about finding love and/or money. That’s why they are all there. It’s not the Bachelor.

Graham is the one pushing the “man code’ all for his own play to win the money. That guy is not Mr Integrity. So he has a charity he runs, folks that is so he gets paid as its director. It is a stream of money for him. He is very cagy and I think if he is in the final two, since it can’t be shared this year Michelle will pull something on him so she wins. I don’t like her either, but I really don’t want Graham to win of the two.

Right? Was that not the most horrifying conversation you ever heard? I’m not a fan of Blake, but I was all in his corner, and I’m glad he turned the tables around on her. Because, yes, if a guy had said the same things Erica was saying, no one would be okay with it. She was basically begging for sex, and I couldn’t stop cringing. Sometimes I have no hope for the human race.
Chris this is a great season with so much going on between the couples. I can not wait for Kasey & Viennea to get their butts kicked to the limo, and I really hope they do not win this. Blake & Holly were so dumb to give them the roses and I was not happy about it. This guy is a moron. Giving Vienna an ultimatium to sleep with his slimely ass.
