The supporting actress comedy pool was just as competitive as its dude counterpart for this year’s EWwy Awards. So many funny female characters help set the tones of their whole show, whether unassumingly (Aubrey Plaza in Parks and Rec) or obviously (Busy Philipps in Cougar Town). By the power vested in us by Annie’s Boobs (ewwww – that’s weird for me to write), we reluctantly narrowed the field to six. Sweet Dee is just as selfish and wrong as the wild and crazy guys — even, or especially when — she’s pregnant.

A single side-eye from people-hater April Ludgate can make a scene infinitely better.

Heather Morris, Glee
We haven’t seen a character this blissfully oblivious since…well, Laurie Keller.
(Is there a EWwy for dancing? Maybe Heather should just win that.)

She’s kind of like Blossom, but with less hats and much more wild-abandon awkwardness.

Alison Brie, Community
Who else could transition so seamlessly from Hector the Well-Endowed to cold-blooded killer?

Eden Sher for the win… criminally underrecognized as the funniest character on that show… just for the cross country sweatshirt alone
I was kinda hoping ABC would sell cross-country sweatshirts. And yes, that actress is amazing. Things that should be painful and awkward to watch are still just funny. Don’t know how she does it. Most under-rated show in TV, IMO.
I’m with CCGuy. Eden is comic genius on a seriously underrated show.

If you’ve read any interviews with Allison Brie, you know she’s NOTHING like Annie. So this is really high quality acting. And it takes a lot to want a nice teenager to end up with a morally ambiguous 35 year old in Jeff Winger.

I make my cases for Aubrey, Alison, Busy, and Eden seeing how I’m a fan of all of their shows, but I’d have to go with Alison.
It’s a really tough call between Busy Phillips, Kaitlin Olson, and Aubrey Plaza.
Why is it that the Ewwys have tougher choice to make than the Emmys? I swear each Emmy category has a clear winner and the rest are average. Each Ewwy category I’m trying to rationalize who is the best when they are all so amazing.
It was a tough choice between Aubrey Plaza, Eden Sher, and Alison Bree, but I give Alison Bree the edge. She had an amazing year. But that Sue Heck is hilarious too and the show deserves so much for being such a funny, underrated show.
I would say these are my choice but add Kaitlin Olson too. I have to go with Plaza for the win though with everyone else a very very close second.
This one is a tough category – I love Aubrey Plaza, Allison Bree AND Busy Phillips…how’s a girl to choose?! 3 hilarious shows, and 3 hilarious ladies….
Aubrey Plaza is amazing. I love Heather Morris too, but if Naya Rivera had been listed here, she’d have my vote hands down.

I have to give it to Busy. No character makes me actually laugh out loud more than Laurie Keller.
Katlin Olsen is the funniest woman on tv. She holds her own with the guys on the show.

Posted on Amy, I saw Cinderella at Starlight when I was 10 years old. I remember hanvig a great time with my family, but also I was a little freaked out by the witch. My other favorite shows at Starlight have been Grease and Annie I could sing a long to most of the songs
