LIFE names 'The Worst Accents in Movie History.' Rough week, in'nit Anne Hathaway?

I’ve got one, how about Clint Eastwood’s Russian accent in FireFox
Dennis Quaid in The Big Easy. Although most non-local actors do blow the NO / S. Louisiana accents – horribly!
Kate Hudson’s “British” accent in Four Feathers. Even Heath Ledger couldn’t save that awful movie.
Why is everyone so surprised that her accent sucks?
Shannon Elizabeth’s Russian(?) accent in the American Pie movies.
How about Jeff Bridges’ whatever the devil it was accent in “The Vanishing”?
Brad Pitt in Troy.
What about the Italian and Irish guys in Titanic? Fabrizio and Tommy? Come to think of it, other than Kate Winslett’s haughty American accent, which was perfect, there were lots of bad accents in Titanic. Leo just got to talk like himself so he was lucky
Any American trying to put on an australian accent. The absolute worst is the cop at the end of Point Break.
No american actor can put on an aussie accent.
The only american who could do a half decent job of the aussie accent is Val in The Saint: at the start.
Why not just get an aussie or pom to do the role that requires aussie or brit accent.
You may not get this to answer but what’s a “pom”? I’m not familiar with the term…
For all Australians, when we hear the term “bad accent” it universally brings us all to hearing Meryl Streep’s APPALLING Australian accent in Evil Angels (aka A Cry In The Dark)… “Aye deengo’s gawt maaw baaaby”… vomit…
That must be her only bad one yet… let’s hope she does okay playing Margaret Thatcher in “Iron Lady.”
