'Goof Troop': Did you like the TV show or the movie better?

Months before I knew I’d be taking the Goof beat in EW’s trip down ’90s nostalgia lane, I came across A Goofy Movie while channel Read the full post.

It’s hard to compare a single movie to the infinite variety of the TV show.

There is an awesome You Tube video that shows what A Goofy Movie would have looked like if David Lynch directed it, I highly recommend watching it.

Actually, the weird thing is that, not only is the movie A GOOFY MOVIE better than the show (and is a pretty good movie still 15 yrs later) but that the MADE FOR DVD SEQUEL An Extremely Goofy Movie is not only far far superior to the Made-for-DVD crapola that Disney was shoving out for about 8 or 9 years (remember Little Mermaid 2?!! Eaggyucckkk!!!!) but is actually A LOT BETTER than even THE GOOFY MOVIE

The movie is much better than the show, but the made for DVD sequel is actually not only LIGHT YEARS better than most of the made for DVD junk Disney put out in the late 90′s (remember LITTLE MERMAID 2?? EaarrghhYuckk!!!) but is actually a lot better than the perfectly-fine Goofy Movie and deserved to find theatres itself…Check it out!

Never watched Goof Troop, in truth. But I think everyday of 5th Grade I’d run home from school and force my little sister to watch it with me…again.

A Goofy Movie was outstanding, with some surprisingly mature moments for a kids film. I hardly even remember Goof Troop.

The Goofy movie was Amazing I still listen to songs and comment on youtube when I watch it.

“A Goofy Movie” was the first movie to which we ever took our daughter in a theater (she was not quite 3 years old then). “The Lion King” was the Disney ‘toon that was getting all the buzz, but (sacrilege!) I enjoyed “Goofy” far more.

Oh my, the Lion King is one of my all time — least liked by me but loved by everyone else movies! I just couldn’t get past the Simba/Kimba? rip-off. I was kinda rooting for Scar.

Wow! Good to know that I’m not alone with my love for A Goofy Movie! And the fact that I’m not the only one who watched and rewatched the StandOut song over and over makes me not feel like such a dweeb. Any time I catch the movie on tv*which isn’t often*, I HAVE to watch it! In my book it’s one of my favorite Disney movies. I did like Goof Troop, too. My favorite was Pete’s wife and daughter.

I’ve got so much love for this movie that I own it on VHS and DVD! I have to sing along with every song and the part where bigfoot does handpuppets with the socks is hilarious.

I love both Goofs. My kids were around six and younger when Goof Troop was on so I called them Goof troopers. I really loved the Goofy Christmas Movie.

    cheddar!!!!!!

Neither…but my little brother LOVED the movie. He used to watch it nonstop.

A Goofy Movie was better than Goof Troop by a wide margin. I liked Goof Troop when I was little, but as I grew older, I came to realize it wasn’t all that good. But A Goofy Movie? I saw it in theatres, and I still watch it every now and again, and I’m 25! One thing I still like about the movie is the songs, especially “Open Road” and “Eye to Eye”.

one of my first CD’s ever was the soundtrack of the Goofy Movie. The music is undeniably catchy!! Also, as a young girl, i thought that famous pop singer was cute!!! The one Max danced with at the concert!! hah memories!!!
