this voting is about who is the greater turn of the millennium….of course its britney! shes about to have a tribute on the vmas in a couple weeks all christina got was a judge spot on the voice.. why would they even come up with a debate over this. im suprised christina even got 41% of the vote

Britney all the way! Still having #1 records after all these years. Still selling out arenas!!!! She is THE Queen of Pop!

    • RyRyNYC

OMG… no, she is not. That would be Madonna who did all of the above over three decades and counting. That is a Queen… Britney’s just a lady in waiting alongside Kylie and Gaga.

      • Marissa

OMG. Guys. It’s actually not a real monarchy.

Team Britney , I like Chirstina but star powerwise Britney. Chirstia right up to her divorse seem to be the happy one but now is Britney because she has a better family support system.

No offense but when did good music become about who looks better over pure talent. Adele is proving that its still about the music today. I’m sorry but those who are paying money to watch Britney lipsync then you are out of your mind. TEAM XTINA!!

  • Alex

Christina is so talented and creative. A great pop but also soul artist. I know people that hate pop music but recognize christina’s status and love a few songs of hers (Hurt, Beautiful, You Lost Me)

    • JackieB

I loved “Lift Me Up”, the song she did for the Haiti relief.

      • Jessie

I bawled my eyes out when she did that song on the Haiti Relief program. Look it up on youtube…she did it live and sounded flawless.

      • @Jessie

So true! I have that version on my iPod, and I forget it’s sung live it’s so perfect.

      • jv

Just watched the YouTube clip and yes, xtina’s singing was flawless. But all I could think about while watching was, “man! She used be so much thinner!”

Christina has the better voice, hands down, but who is going to make the lasting impression? I think our great great great grandchildren will know Britney by name.

Britney is burning out and she’s not even 30. People know Christina and recognize that voice. Britney is a shadow of her former self and Christina just keeps getting better and keeps taking her voice to new heights.

  • RyRyNYC

I think its interesting… Christina Aguilera was more radio friendly in the beginning of her career – Britney was an albums seller while Christina spent her first 7 singles in the top 20 of Billboard 100.) But the Music industry has changed and Britney’s fans are more of the rabid type so she’s finally cracked into the top 10 of Billboard 100 after her first few years of just slipping into top 40. I think Britney is more “successful” because as someone stated above she hasn’t evolved where as Christina is more critically successful (even Bionic got its few shinning dues) because she does take risks with her music and does evolve. I’m an X-Tina fan so she gets my vote, but in reality they don’t really compare well – its apples and oranges.

But I would argue that Christina DOESN’T take risks with her music. “Stripped” was the result of a more urban/R&B atmosphere in music, “Back to Basics” came out when Amy Winehouse and Duffy were big, and “Bionic” came out during this dance pop craze. She hasn’t done anything that nobody else was also doing at the time.

      • jackay

That’s where you’re uniformed. Christina helped bring ‘white girl’ urban music into the pop world with Stripped, Back to Basics came out BEFORE Amy Winehouse got big, and Christina started talking about recording an electro album in 2007, before the dance craze had even hit. Christina ALWAYS takes risks with her music, which is why she is less popular. Britney sticks to the same sexed up, electro pop beats and it’s what she’s known for. It’s a formula that works for her. Christina likes to do different things, it’s who she is.

Christina is certainly more talented. Anyone who denies that is just foolish. But her vocal acrobatics do tend to be on the show-offy side, and it can get annoying. Sometimes she’s over-singing and it’s almost like she doesn’t always know how to control her big voice. Also, she’s kind of annoying when she talks. I was watching her on Conan when her movie came out last year, and I wanted to shoot myself. In her favor though, I really think Ain’t No Other Man is probably one of the best pop songs of the past decade. It’s absolutely perfect. The video is great too.
All in all though, I’d go with Britney simply because I like more Britney songs than I do Christina songs and because Britney has a sweeter nature about her. Although Britney does get knocked down a few pegs due to her lack of energy these days.

  • Raechel

I own every Britney CD and all I own of Christina is her Genie in a Bottle Single that you use to buy at Best Buy. I do like some Christina music, I love majority of Britney and can still sing all the words to most of her music

  • Kat

I’m not a fan of either or. I was in high school when these girls came out. I remember how Britney Spears blew up over night when her hit “Baby one more time” came out. Soon, Christina, Jessica Simpson and Mandy Moore followed suit. I think that’s really how it’s been between the 2 of them. With Christina just following behind despite having a better voice.

  • SaraS

This is ridiculous, because I like both of them. I wouldn’t want either one to go away. I love to run and dance to Britney, and belt with Christina in my car.
P.S. Thanks LG; I never bought Bionic and I went and got You Lost Me and I Am on your recommendation. Cool, thanks.

  • Fabe

I love them both, but I voted for Britney. She still puts out great music and her new album is the bomb!

    • D

Yea, that sound board with the electronic voice is so talented.

      • TayMads

And Christina Aguilera DOESN’T use auto tune?? Listen to Not Myself Tonight and then tell me if there is auto tune or not?? Christina uses it too even though she doesn’t need to. I think her last album proves that.

      • fancypants

Britney uses autotune b/c she NEEDS it desperately, Xtina uses it for an electro musical effect.

    • Lindsay

You may not like Britney’s style, but she is still in 1st place and Christina is in 2nd.

Look at it this way: Britney’s Femme Fatale debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard 200. Christina’s Bionic debuted at Number 3. Every single released from Femme Fatale thus far has been a Top Ten Single on the Hot 100. Bionic’s only Top 40 hit was “Not Myself Tonight” which peaked at 23.

Those are the facts. Britney is currently having more musical success.

  • D

Brittany is a product of the system. Christina is a product of talent. Christina is better looking and has a much better voice. I don’t know why there’s even a comparison other than the fact they came out around the same timeframe.

  • Andy

Christina has such a remarkable voice that I had to vote for her. Both I think have lost a little steam in recent years. Anyhoo, my favorite song out of both of their cateloigues is “Toxic” I can never get enough of this song

  • Jean Guy Levesque

Britney seemed to have the marketing down until she hooked up with white trash (federline). This took years to wash away and for regular folks to forget. Vive la Quebec!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
