I love me some Rizzoli & Isles, and if you’re wondering whether the chemistry between stars Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander is as good offscreen as on, watch the video below of them dancing their way out of the makeup trailer and into Isles’ autopsy room in honor of Harmon’s birthday earlier this week. The three-minute video was shot by the show’s hair stylist Nanci Cascio, who also captured Harmon leading a dance party in the trailer at the end of July. (“How long is this f—in’ song,” her costar Bruce McGill asked waiting his turn in the chair. Hilarious.) Watch that below as well.
What I love most about these videos, besides the fact that in them both Harmon and Alexander are great dancers and don’t take themselves too seriously, is that they weren’t created for marketing purposes. The joy is too genuine for that. And to reward them, I’ll plug the show: Rizzoli & Isles airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on TNT.

This show sucks. Everything about it is a cliche. Harmon is a horrible actress
way to rain on a parade. i like rizzoli & isles, it’s fun
These comments confuse the hell out of me. Legit comment mixed with spam
Well you can leave the dancing party…..
Both are great actresses, I know that from their previous work. And it’s like the highest rated cable show right with The Closer I think. Tons of Emmy winning shows would kill for their ratings….
Oh, look at me, I’m an attractive, socially awkward woman police officer who is married to her job. YAWN
These chicks are my frickin heroes. I would gladly danceparty with them anytime!
I love this show! They’re hilarious.
Haters to the left. The show’ll keep getting amazing ratings and keep getting renewed and the haters will wallow in self-pity.
U MAD?
Eh, I will watch absolute garbage but I still couldn’t get through the first episode. I agree, Angie Harmon is terrible.
As cynical as I can be, I actually like this show. Strong women who act like real friends do, and don’t slam men every other sentence? What’s not to like.
I know this show is such a chick show…but i am a 40 year old guy and i love it..dvr it every week…great storylines…and so many laughs…I laugh so hard at how angies character is so moody and negative all the time…i didn’t realize until recently it is based on a series of best selling books over the past several years..probably one reason it is the 2nd highest rated show on cable..came with a built in audience from those who read the books…
This is one of the few “cop shows” that I enjoy watching. Well, this and Castle.
Angie and Sasha have great chemistry and the show mixes crime with humor in a good way. It’s not just another boring CSI clone, R & I has a heartbeat.
I don’t understand ppl complaining about Harmons acting at all? Shes perfect for the role. But I guess haters cant see past their political view.
I really enjoy this show too, along with Castle. And you’re right, it’s not the same as any other cop show as they dynamic between the two leads adds that depth so many shows lack. Plus, I love Angie Harmon. I love catching old Law and Order episodes with her as the assistant DA.
Fans of the books are not generally fans of the shows. The characters are very different, and the story lines in the books are way more intense. Some people like both, but you have to like them for different reasons.
I like the show, so I started reading the books. One of my first thoughts was, “Hey, these characters are not like the show characters.” Then I decided to like them individually for what they are.
Temperance Brennan is not the same character in the books as she is in Bones. I like her in both. I can’t read the R&I books, they are too much young woman kidnapped, tortured and murdered, but do watch the series, mainly because of Sasha. Didn’t like Angie on L&O but she’s tolerable on this.
I love the show, too. It ain’t Shakespeare, but who cares? Harmon and Alexander are just fine. You want Emmy-worthy characters? Go to Julianna Margulies’ “The Good Wife.” This is summer fun.
Love the books, LOVE the show. I am completely addicted to it. The fact that Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander get along so well off screen translates to when they do get on screen.
This show isn’t going to win an emmy but it’s entertaining and doesn’t take itself too seriously. I love Castle for the same reason. It’s not high drama but it’s not total crap like CSI Miami.
^^^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I’ve never seen this show but have heard about it. Just reading EW and saw dance party lol. You just got them a new viewer by posting those videos. They seem like super cool people.
But the real question is could she ever get Sam Watterson to join in the dancing when she was on L&O?
BTW everyone with the Emmy comments…they are nothing more than a glorified artistic political affair. Tons of campaigning, tons of crap lol. I’m not saying they are not nice to have, but a lot of it is political.
I agree that this show is entertaining. I enjoy the way they communicate and also enjoy the supporting cast.
