'So You Think You Can Dance': And the finalists are...

This has been a really surprising and refreshing season. Too bad I’m talking about the guest judges rather than the dancers. Read the full post.

I’m not sure about the quality of dancers overall this season, though I think Melanie and Sasha are two of the best girls that have ever been on the show. And say what you will about some of the bland or less challenging choreography, but this season has been the best as a TV show – less long-winded talking from the judges, shorter and crisper rehearsal footage, Mary Murphy is back instead of Mia Michaels and Adam Shankman, and the dancers this season are more LIKABLE than ever.

I agree-wonderful TV. The guest judges really added a wild card element and prevented Nigel from bloviating too much.

I am tired of seeing Tadd treated with kid gloves. He is graded on a scale. All of his dances have very little dancing. He is my favorite personality and I expect others like him, so no surprise he is in final two.

I would have preferred to see Nick last longer (he was my favorite in every group number) and Jess in the final two.

I don’t love Sasha as much as some, but Caitlynn was clearly ready to go. Caitlynn did improve quite a bit this week and I look forward to seeing more of this beautiful girl.’

I’d expect Melanie to win with Mark-Sasha behind.

I wish to know what Tadd did make last performance show to go to the finale… Anything!!! It was wrong to send him to the finale! The judges obviously pulled him there. (Sorry for the english, I’m out of America.)

I have loved this season despite seeing so many of my favorites go home early. I have not connected with Sasha from the start, and I just don’t see this raw emotion some of you are talking about. Technically, sure, she great, but I get nothing from her otherwise…just my personal opinion. And I never once thought Caitlynn danced from her head, Got way more emotion from her in one dance than I’ve ever gotten from Sasha this entire season. I would have rather seen Caitlynn or even Missy or Miranda in the finale.

Wow AP I know it is a personal opinion, but everything you said seemed to be the opposite in my opion and many others. Caitlynn is good– to be in the final six you must be, but she did dance alot with no emotions, except her waltzs. Sasha get knock from people b/c she dance too hard– too intense then others says she is cold, and they say they dont feel anything or haven’t connected. How can one person get view entirely on two opposites sides of the spectrum. It ridiculus. She is a great dancer!!! An Emotional Passionate Dancer!!! She deserves every good accolades she have gotten. I hope she win b/c of the hating. She get talk about more than anyother dancer negatively, and alot doesn’t have to do with her DANCING. Someone critized her hair and how skinny she was. Stop the bashing. You dont need to down someone to pick another dancer up. It sounds like alot of jealousy.

Why are you taking this comment so personally? It’s just someone’s opinion, just like you have your own opinion. I don’t care for Sasha either, and from what I gather you either like her or you don’t. I also think there were better dancers this season that had they been given a chance would have blown Sasha out of the water. No big deal, we all have our favorites, it wouldn’t be a compotition if we all liked the same dancer. What does it matter anyways, we all know Melanie has this one in the bag!

As soon as I heard Sasha’s and Kent’s routine introduction, and found out that Tyce had choreographed yet another number, I was instantly annoyed. It didn’t turn out as bad as I thought it would, but I didn’t love it as much as everyone else apparently did. What happened to Travis Wall? Where has he been the last few weeks? I feel like the level of choreography this season isn’t matching the level of skill in the dancers. Let’s be honest, great dancers can bust their tails and do everything perfectly, but if the choreography isn’t good the routine just isn’t good. I know the show is trying to find choreographers of the same caliber as they’ve had in the past, but it’s not working. There are normally several dances that I rewind and watch over and over in a season. There have only been 3 for me this season: Sasha & Twitch’s hip hop, Ryan & Ricky’s Sonya routine, and Ashley & Chris’ broadway. The reason I liked them so much: the choreography and concept were good, and they were executed well. I miss the days of Mia Michaels and Wade Robson.
