Ryan Gosling: Tell me, Jimmy, have you even been in a Turkish bath?

Ryan Gosling continues his talk show tour for Crazy, Stupid, Love, and last night’s visit with Jimmy Fallon was another memorable stop. He brought his “muppet” dog George (who insists on having a Mohawk; when the hair starts to grow out George becomes a jerk, Gosling insists) and recounted a visit to a Turkish bath in his new home, New York City. Watch it below. In short: It was a painful experience that resulted in Gosling licking his masseuse’s belly after it went in his mouth (“Don’t judge me, but you know how when you eat something weird your brain sends your tongue to investigate?” he asked) and a lot of tipping.

In the second clip, Gosling attempts to explain his new movie.

Between this and his appearance on Letterman last week he is becoming a great talk show guest. Look forward to seeing more…preferably with him topless.

Love Ryan Gosling!! I can’t wait for the movie to come out.

Hard to believe but even with Ryan’s long list of great films his first tv talk show appearance was over a year ago on Ellen. It’s great that now he is going on Letterman, Fallon and has been on Kimmel. I love that he is sexy, funny, smart and dresses like a movie star. I think he’s a bit mischievous, so, not sure if all his stories are for real, but he’s charming and love his dog George. Looking forward to all his movies coming out soon.

TNsmoke…I enjoy Mr. Gosling too. However, I just wanted to let you know that Ryan Gosling was on Ellen twice. The first time was a couple of years ago and the 2nd was the one you mentioned. The most recent one was extra funny since Ellen thought it would be cute to have her & her interviewees be using exercycles while talking. Ryan upped it a notch and brought out his & her snuggies for them to wear WHILE exercising. It was great fun! I just wish the Ellen show was back in production (syndicated shows usually have the summer off) so Ryan could visit again.

Never have snuggies looked so sexy as when they were on Ryan Gosling!
That was a great interview and he was amazingly charming.

Actually – my bad, I just remembered that they weren’t snuggies, they were jumpin jammies. Footed one piece pjamas.

        Your right! Thanks!

You’re right about Ellen but I basically meant that Ellen was really the only talk show he’d been on until I think he did Jimmy Kimmel when Blue Valentine was out. So, to have him now making the rounds and being someone who the shows all want, it’s a treat. He’s been on my TiVo Wishlist for years and rarely got hits for him being on shows, except 2 second movie promo clips on shows like Access Hollywood or ET. He’s a hoot and love how he dresses.

I’ve only seen Ryan on these two most recent late night gigs. I got a kick out of his appearances but, knowing little about him, my first impression from these two appearances was that he was either not terribly bright; or, too cool to be there. Whatever his deal is/was, I admit it made for entertaining TV. Can someone with more informed insight into Mr. Gosling enlighten me, please?

    • Rob

I don’t know if I’m more informed as I’m not really a fan of his movies as they are more drama. This new one however looks like the type of movies he should be making. Mostly, I just love to look at him. He’s not classically beautiful but he’s very good looking…he truly grew into his looks as I remember him as a child actor. The body is awesome and he’s seriously got the bad boy vibe going for him too. He seems to have a great sense of humor and isn’t an uppity snob celebrity. I just think he’s enjoying the talk shows, regardless of if its Ellen, Jimmy, or Conan. Gosling tries to make it not like your average talk show appearance to promote a movie which can get boring since the interviewers usually ask the same question. Having Ryan do his interview with Ellen while wearing snuggies and exercising made it that much more unique. Keep it up Ryan!

It’s kinda’ more Donald Duck than Animal Farm, Keith. (Donald preceded Animal Farm by amoslt 10 years.) I’m a big funny animals fan. I really recommend the Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck for any of you out there who love the funny animal genre. What is it about ducks that make for great comics. Oh and for those who like a dark funny animal, the Marvel comic series Howard the Duck was a classic of the genre. But not the film unfortunately.
