Millions of people are killed by aliens in the PG-13 movies Indpendence Day, 2012 and Mars Attacks! Why bother writing an article? There’s nothing new about this.

Last line of the article: “[The PG-13 rating means that] ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ is [supposedly] safe for kindergarten class.” What does Darren Franich think the difference between the “PG” and “PG-13″ ratings is supposed to be? It IS that a PG-13 movie is NOT “safe for kindergarten class.” Parents of older children should be careful about a PG-13 movie (the “13″ alludes to that age and suggests that younger than that is probably too young for a film so rated), just as they should be with the small kids re: PG films.

Wasn’t the War of the Worlds remake also PG-13 or PG and had humans vaporized? Bc that was disturbing to me (basically just the fact that a train near my house makes the exact same sound as the aliens’ machines did, and for a split second I thought this crap was happening for real).

HA!!!! Now that is too funny! Amazing what movies can do to us sometimes isn’t it?! LOL

Darren, for the love of God, IF you must do another anti Transformers rant, WATCH THE FILM AND PAY ATTENTION first. Once again much of what you say either didn’t happen or happened in a way different to what your description. The taking over of Chicago and killing of SOME people trying to flee AND the Autobots sitting around waiting whilst Chicago was attacked, when in truth they were making their way as quickly and secretly as possible from the Ocean (where they escaped their space ship’s destruction) to Chicago,

Don’t like the movie all you want but pay attention if you’re going to dum on it every other day.

Thank you!! I’m sick of this guy’s never-ending, hyperbole-filled rants!!

I know, it might be bearable if it read like he wasn’t just working of a synopsis.

That is the dumbest, laziest narrative excuse possible. Just because Michael Bay tries to plug up a plot hole with whatever he can come up with in five minutes doesn’t mean there isn’t still a plot hole there. It’s not this writer’s fault you swallow this crap so willingly and unquestioningly.

They missed my favorite death scene in Transformers. It was when Ken Jeong’s character died. DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I WAITED FOR THAT MOMENT?

  • Raqib

You sound like a serial douchebag. I think you should stop crying about robot death/execution in movies, and get a REAL job. I’m sure we can make use of you in the janitorial section of the movie theater.
