Savant is a solid templating engine that’s stood the test of time and received high praise from many in the PHP community. The fact that Paul wrote it doesn’t invalidate his opinion on the subject. This issue has long been a serious deficiency of character in many members of the PHP community: assuming biases in others as an excuse to act like an ass.
