The last time we saw Master Chief — the iconically faceless and gravel-voiced protagonist of the Halo franchise — he was entering cryonic hibernation in the deepest reaches of space. It was an eerily poetic way for the Halo trilogy to wrap up, leaving the character back where we found him in the opening moments of Halo 1. But heck with poetry, we’ve got a franchise to feed! Thus, yesterday Microsoft introduced the first trailer for Halo 4. Suffice it to say, Master Chief wakes up, and everything instantly goes to hell. Watch the video below:

What a tease! I clicked this link with exciement hoping that EW was FINALLY acknowledging the existence of the FOX show Master Chef (wich also “returned” last night), after having ignored the show completely last season. How about another article hailing the return of Master Chef and it’s equally gravelly voiced host Gordon Ramsay?

he doesn’t have boosters those are thruster attatched to his suit that are alwayyse there but only work in ZERO-G so he has never been able to use them, and he was probably routinely waken up over the years which would explain the upgrades.
