Wow. So this was first mentioned a few years ago and then there was hope in January for this. It was supposed to be workshopped in Cambridge, MA at the end of April/early May. Then nothing. So now we have to wait even long? Boo. I still want to go, I just hate that the news seems to be to continue to wait.

Loved the movie. Hopefully the live show will be as good.

Saw the workshop in Cambridge. We were asked to not give social media comments though and I want to respect that. Just wanted to let readers know that it was in Cambridge for a short amount of time. Looking forward to seeing how it evolves and if the final version will be different from what I saw. I’ve never been to a workshop before so I’m not sure what the process is.

May I ask how were you able to see it? I knew about the Cambridge workshop for months and even requested information from A.R.T. and they wouldn’t give me anything.

I knew someone who knew someone that works there. Other than that you had to be a “selected invited guest” which I’m assuming means donors and high-ranking members.

Thanks. Bummer. I was looking forward to checking it out for months. I hope it ended up enjoyable.

don’t mess up what is a perfect film/music moment by doing a live version.. i don’t want to hear these songs sung by anyone else. in my mind its a true and beautiful story and lives in that movie and with the actors/musicians. we don’t need another version.. it’s already perfect

Agree. It’s one thing for Green Day but wouldn’t work IMo for Swell Season.

Great article. I can¡¯t wait to hear more about your research tool. If it is as good as your other products, then you will have another winner. Your article pretty much summed up what I have been seeing too. Great to see some hard data.
