Some of the more memorable highlights were the pre-taped comedy bits! Kudos to the writers!
I agree about the private parts mention – enough already and so over-done!

I’m extremely open-minded, not a prude and appreciate good humor when I recognize it, but, from the lesbian-porn bit in the intro to Justin Timberlake being groped at the podium, I found this production to be absolutely gratuitous and lacking in class. It obviously pandered to a particular shallow culture – one that I’m happy to say I don’t subscribe to. Is the show about the presentation of awards or being reminded that every presenter has a penis? Give me a break. This was by far the sleaziest of the sleaze and the only thing eclipsing the sleazy dialogue was the hideous stage set.

okay….they didnt make the lesbian scene. Whatever you do dont buy Black Swan, I have feeling you wont like it….Good movie though.

The show was HORRIBLE, only EW pimps Twlight harder.

Watched it only to see the Harry Potter clip and was not disappointed in that regard. It was awesome.

Worst.Awards.Show.Ever. Too much Twilight, insane choice for best line & someone please explain to me what was so jaw-dropping in the Bieber movie? MTV has cemented it’s position as the network of 12 year old girls. Ugh!

really, it is!! My 12 year old daughter is the ONLY person I know that watches MTV

After hearing the comments, I’m so glad I skipped it this year. The MTV Movie Awards will be unwatchable as long they keep making Twilight movies (and what makes us think they’ll stop just because they run out of books to adapt?). 15 years ago, this crap never would have been nominated. I know the movie awards aren’t meant to be taken seriously, but there’s a difference between being tongue in cheek and being a joke, and MTV needs to learn it.
Where’s Chewbacca when you need him?

  • Dan Paz

No point in watching until twilight ends. It’s the same story different year. Best female male performace, kiss, fight, best movie pretty much the same three years in a row. I bet you every dollar I make the rest of my life it won’t change.

Sudeikis didn’t mention about a name change which has been postponed for long, but may be necessary now. Schwarz in German translates as “black”. Arnold should trade last names with Barrack, so we can call them:
    Arnold Obama –
    Barrack Schwarzenegger –

Rob Pattinson owned that night..he was the only funny as hell guy on that show…Twilight will pass and than everybody can slam whatever comes next..maybe the Hunger Games…or the Hollywood version of TGWTDT…or something else dreadful

    • Julia

I like good ole Rob, but I thought he acted like an idiot at the awards.

  • Spongejay1

I was disgusted by the fact that pretty much every catagory twiglight was nominated forit won. MTV should really consider broadening it’s movies selections. Props for putting the Social Network in the running though.
