The Backstreet Boys hold a special place in my heart, as they were the subjects of my very first EW cover story all the way back in 1998. In the 13 years since, I’ve crossed paths with them four more times, most recently for an interview with the four remaining BSB members and the five New Kids on the Block, who have joined forces for a summer arena tour and joint compilation album (which cracked the top 10 in its first week of release). There’s 9 performing. Kevin Richardson left Backstreet Boys a few years ago.

Watched the NKOTBSB in Louisville last week and instantly I was 15 again and screaming hysterically!! Ended up getting our seats changed and was 10 feet away from the guys! It was amazing the effect the guys had on me back then and the positive and energetic effect they still have on their fans now. I’m a “Blockhead” for life!!

I just turned 5o and i have two daughters 22 and 15 we are all huge Backstreet Boys fans. They are super talented. Im glad they joined with New Kids. It is an awesome CD. BSB forever.
