You know, a lot of people gave Princess Beatrice flack for the hat she wore to the Royal Wedding last month. Some called it “crazy”, while others claimed that if you go through its ring, you actually enter another dimension… of crazy.

Whatever your feelings were on the Philip Treacy creation, now is your opportunity to own it. Beatrice’s mum Sarah Ferguson visited The Oprah Winfrey Show, and in a segment featured in today’s episode, she told Winfrey the already-infamous hat would be placed on the head of the highest bidder on eBay. “She’s putting it up on eBay to auction it for UNICEF and for Children in Crisis,” the Duchess explained. The Host's Leaderboard: Tom Bergeron on tequila, Kirstie's total body transformation, and swearing

Welcome to a special tequila-drenched episode of “The Host’s Leaderboard,” my weekly chat with Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron. We’re so wasted!

On week 8, Tom gifts us with a Walter Brennan reference, reminds us of a Karate Kid/DWTS plot connection, SWEARS because the internet is not the same as liiiiiiive TV, and plugs his book! Okay, Romeo. I’m already on the edge of my seat for Tom’s expert mime exhibition, tentatively scheduled for the last episode EVER.

Press the “play” triangle to hear my imaginary friend in all his alternate-universe glory!

Roberto Benigni and Woody Allen to pair-up in Rome? Where ya been, Roberto?

Filed under: Movies and tagged: , , ,

The last time I saw Roberto Benigni, he said he wanted to make love to me. To be fair, he wanted to make love to everybody watching the 1999 Academy Awards after he’d won his second Oscar of the night for Life is Beautiful. But since that night, when the Italian Chaplin was officially crowned by Hollywood, his profile has retreated. His directorial follow-up, 2002′s Pinocchio, was an expensive flop that bombed completely on this side of the Atlantic. He appeared briefly in Jim Jarmusch’s Coffee and Cigarettes in 2003, and he hasn’t starred in any film since 2005′s Iraq War film, The Tiger and The Snow. For the most part, the only thing Americans recall about him now is his Oscar-winning antics, when he made his offer of amore and celebrated his victory by dancing on the seats and shoulders of the people seated in front of him. If Johnny Depp had been Indiana Jones...

Ever wonder what Indiana Jones would’ve looked like if Johnny Depp had taken the whip from Harrison Ford? At the Russian premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Depp seemed to be channeling Dr. Jones with the same pizazz that made Capt. Jack Sparrow the most hip pirate on the high seas. Take a look and imagine the possibilities… READ FULL STORY »

Chelsea Handler talks 50 Cent, love, kids, and politics with Piers Morgan: Watch!

Yes, Chelsea Handler dated 50 Cent “very casually,” the funny lady confirmed in an interview with Piers Morgan that aired Tuesday night. “I was just sampling… the atmosphere and seeing what was out there,” she said. Handler said the rapper is the complete antithesis of what you would imagine. “I mean he’s a sweetheart. He’s sweet and funny. He’s got a great sense of humor.” She confirmed he did send her gifts to try to woo her and explained why she sent them back: “I don’t really like gifts from rappers in general, since I’m not a hooker,” she joked. “I don’t like when men buy me ridiculous gifts, especially when I don’t know them well. I can buy my own gifts.”  READ FULL STORY »

Taiwanese animators posit why Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver really split: 'Was it groping?'

Filed under: TV and tagged: , , ,

Though it’s been a few days since Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver announced that they’re separating, the world still doesn’t really know why the two have split. Thankfully, Taiwan’s most intrepid animated news service is on the case. NMA’s latest minute-long absurdist masterpiece shows the Governator chucking a cat at his estranged wife’s head, then smoking a joint before being joined by two nubile, naked young Sim ladies. Also, according to the video, the glowing green ghosts of JFK and Bobby Kennedy attended the couple’s wedding in 1986. Oh, and Sim Ahhnold has a porn ‘stache for some reason. And the narrator keeps calling him “Arnie!” And… well, nothing I write can truly do this incredible clip justice, so do yourself a favor and check it out below.

How do you think this ranks against NMA’s greatest hits, like Charlie Sheen’s Winningest Moments and the Tiger Woods clip that started it all? READ FULL STORY »

Listen to 'The Book of Mormon' soundtrack in its entirety (if you don't mind spoilers, natch)

Book-Of-Mormon

The Book of Mormon is the Broadway sensation of the year — despite, or because, of the fact that it features various unspeakable acts of blasphemy and hilariously X-rated lyrics. (Considering The Producers opened over a decade ago and Avenue Q has now moved Off-Broadway, didn’t the Great White Way need a new vulgar sensation?) With rave reviews and a commanding number of Tony nominations, showings are booked up for the foreseeable future, but if you’d like to hear what all the fuss is about, NPR is currently streaming the complete soundtrack of the show. 'American Idol': Name your Power List for the top 4!

Idol-Power-List

With only four American Idol contestants remaining, creating your very own Idol Power List has never been easier. OR HAS IT? I’d previously been ranking contestants according to realistic standards instead of my own wishful thinking. People in the bottom three would have to be low on the list, even if I liked ‘em. I’m not sure that’s true anymore. Haley Reinhart is the only Stools of Doom regular (yo. yo. yo. they love her at that bar) left at this point, and since she’s the most interesting contestant to me by far, I gotta rank her higher. Here we go. READ FULL STORY »

'The Voice' Battle poll: Which duet was best?

The thrilling blind auditions are over, but The Voice‘s first Battle Round delivered as much intrigue and suspense as the singing competition’s initial episodes. Teammates had to collaborate on a song, but that teamwork was undermined by the fact that only one of them would survive. Throw in a quartet of celebrity-guest mentors, and there was plenty to see.

But whose song was best? READ FULL STORY »
