I agree, especially when he is supposed to be a fairly devout catholic altar boy type. Sure, he oopsied Parker, but apparently didn’t learn anything. This bothers me almost as much as when they’re shown driving while talking/holding their cell phones and apparently without seat belts… I guess being safe isn’t a thing in the Bones universe….
Yeah, probably. But I’ve been waiting for this since the whole ‘dream Bones preggo’ Coma dream and the whole ‘Nothing happens unless first a dream’ quote thing in the season 4 finale and the beginning of season 5. It’s kinda been foreshadowed quite a bit.
Huh. I posted something in reply to Mindy, but it’s disappeared. I was making a joke about how they don’t need no stinkin’ safety since they’re all driving (heavily advertised product placement vehicle line)s!!!! Watching Bones sometimes feels like a car ad, with all those hybrids and minivans that they tell us can parallel park for them/warn them when they are getting too close to the vehicle in front/call their moms for them on Mother’s Day… You all know which ones those are (as well as which movie they went to see in them.)
It didn’t bother me but let’s just hope Hannah doesn’t come back pregnant…

The smile was precious, I thought, but could have been improved by a hug. And I REALLY wanted to see HOW they got to that point. My most rewound of the season was Booth’s cheek smooch of Bones followed by a bashful grin at the Bowling alley.

It happens. And it’s not like Parker is 1. He’s 10 I believe. So it’s not like he’s been careless. It was unplanned encounter between him and Brennan; so I am not annoyed. But it is amusing for a marrying kind of guy and Catholic to be have a repeat! And it’s not Brennan will be anxious to marry right away!
No. I think it just means you’ve been watching from season one. After seeing all the misery Booth felt and went through with not having full access to Parker, the reaction makes NO sense. Yes, accidents happen, but if there’d been a birthcontrol malfunction he’d damn well have known and been concerned. Clueless, “am I the father?” WTH? Guess he didn’t ask about the pill.
However, this is Booth post 100th reboot: He’s got the dumb jock, mad at the world mentality and thinks a figtree in the middle of a warzone is the perfect place to drop his pants. So, really, with THIS Booth, it’s not surprising at all.
Watch the episode ending again – Booth didn’t ASk if he as the father.Bones offered that information. She had to because we, the viewing audience, did not see them actually hook up. So the writers had to make sure we KNEW it was Booth’s.
The reaction does make sense. Booth loves kids, especially his. He also loves Bones so finding out they are having a kid is exciting to him. He probably isn’t assuming this time would be like it was before with Parker’s mom and all the custody problems.
Well, I see his excitement as coming from the fact that she’s actually having his kid this time. He was so disappointed when he woke up from the coma dream and she wasn’t pregnant. He was so thrilled about it in the dream.

Actually, they don’t use condoms, because it’s God’s will if you get pregnant or not (my mums side is Catholic).
The pope is against it, but there are a lot of American Catholics who use birth control. (I was raised Catholic, Catholic family)
I’m a Catholic that uses birth control. I have Muslim friends who drink and one Hindu friend who tried beef. Just because someone is a certain religion doesn’t mean they stick to all its teachings 100%…if everyone did that, this would be a pretty scary world.
Catholicism is more about “reverence for life” regarding procreation. Most Catholics know and feel that lack of birth control is irresponsible if you do not desire to add to your family. Most contemporary, intelligent, and liberal Catholics know their faith well enough to understand that the rules are created for our better good – but that God also expects us to use our brains and make informed choices.

Yes he is Catholic and since all Catholics follow every single rule they are supposedly given, the whole Hannah living with him was some elaborate dream they forgot to explain was a dream.
It’s TV, they had sex when they were both grieving and under enormous stress. BC was forgotten about. Honestly, with how well he knows Bones, it wouldn’t be completely unrealistic of him to assume she would have said something if she didn’t have some sort of BC going on and so assumed it was OK. She’s pretty blunt and to the point about most things.
this is television people..plus how many of us really follow our religion when it comes to sex? the writers had to add this twist because ED is pregnant in real life..and they had to find a way to get B and B together without dissipating people’s interest

I saw the episode and even for us viewers, they didn’t hook up… It was weird.
The day Vincent died, Bones stayed at Booth’s apartment, because he thought it’d be safer. All we saw was her going into his room late at night and them holding each other.
Well, Bones had wanted a kid for a season or two now, and we saw very little of their romantic relationship, so that kid could very well be planned.
Nothing weir it’d seen that writers like unprotected sex. Look how many pregnancies are now in tv. Even doctors shave crapy bird control measures (look Christina in GA). Apparently when they have no new ideas just get somebody pregnant.
He just is extremely fertile. His sperm has super powers that make them impervious to latex.
And that’s not counting the unplanned pregnancies David Boreanaz is responsible for.
Booth is a good father though
they only scripted a pregnancy because Emily’s pregnant in real life, or else there’d be a lot of over the table shots, or less Brennan.
and even though it was technically unplanned, it was planned. Brennan did ask Booth if she could use his sperm for a baby before he had the tumour and all.
The writer has stated on EW that it wasn’t scripted because of her real life pregnancy.
Well, maybe not so unplanned. Hart Hanson likes to see us twist in the wind like this. Perhaps Bones used some of Booth’s frozen “stuff” from brain tumor season.

I totally agree! I was shocked when he went down! Grey’s sucked wind…not anywhere near finale material. Private Practice got really good this season except for Addie getting back with Sam. I hate them together. Would much rather see Benjamin Bratt give her some love cause Sam is self centered and not worried about her feelings at all. And they better not kill Pete or hurt Lucas either!!
I haven’t seen Glee finale yet, but it sucks that Sam is dating big Mercedes…

I feel like they could be interesting together, at least moreso than Sam was with Quinn, though being less interesting than that is pretty much impossible. I pretty much gave up on Glee when Kurt and Blaine kissed; I know most people thought it was romantic, but I found it saccharine and poorly done. I decided to just finish off the season to give them one final chance to improve the show, but really, I wasn’t going to come back no matter what the finale was like. Ugh.
I agree… This year, Glee has been really mediocre and boring. The show has lost the comedy, the sticky songs and the “romance”. Well, It was good ’till it lasted…
I’m sick of Glee forcing these relationships that would never happen in real high school. A white football player dating an overweight (albiet very pretty)black girl?? An obese girl who wrestles dating the very good looking school bad boy?? Yeah, they’ll never get me to buy any of it. But at least Finn and Quinn are history. That’s one good thing that came out of the finale.
Haha, that’s funny because Finn and Quinn are the most realistic high school relationship in the show (the quarterback and the head cheerleader), and you don’t like them.
It’s a MUSICAL done in a TV format. Musicals ALWAYS have a message within their theme. Glee is a musical about the uncool becoming cool- ala “Hairspray.” If you want ‘realistic’ (on television, which is an entirely different discussion), you are watching the wrong show.

Agree! I couldn’t watch the finale at all. Just so incredibly fake, scripted, and boring. They pimped Lauren the entire time. Scotty was wearing a T-shirt. There was absolutely no risks taken and no outstanding performances that anyone will ever remember. Neither of them ever had a moment, ‘cept for Scotty with Gone. It was such a disaster, and almost pitiful, considering it was an amazing, diverse, versatile season. How did we end up with these 2? I would vote Al for crappy finale to an otherwise solid season, your penultimate was better than your finale, your season pass is now in jeopardy, and most disturbing image.
