'Celebrity Apprentice': And the fired celebrities are...

In a special three-hour episode of Celebrity Apprentice, three different celebrities left the show, either by their own volition or the firing finger of Donald Trump. The show also featured not one but two Meat Loaf meltdowns, neither of which involved missing paints. My full recap will be up at 2am (UPDATE: Click over to see Dalton’s full Celebrity Apprentice recap now), but if you can’t wait to sound off on all the insanity, then read on for more. [SPOILER ALERT: Read on only if you have already watched Sunday's episode of Celebrity Apprentice.]

Where is NeNe Leakes? I have no idea! The Atlanta housewife went AWOL after Mr. Trump seemingly did her a favor by moving her to a different team away from her nemesis, Star Jones. Even though she quit, that didn’t stop Trump from delivering a posthumous firing at the next Boardroom: “To you, Nene, I say, you’re fired. And you’re a quitter. And Star Jones kicked your ass whether you like it or not.”

Then, after being tasked with putting on a comedy show to raise money, zombie Project Manager — she did come back from the dead on this show, after all — La Toya Jackson was fired after bringing in less money than Meat Loaf, who spent 98% of the task crying out of fear that the money he was raising for his charity would go to La Toya’s instead. (He spent the other 2% telling bad jokes from the stage.)

But the emotional roller coaster that is Mr. Loaf was about to take a double-dip after his team lost the next challenge, which involved promoting a new OnStar product that I couldn’t care less about. After debating with Star Jones on where the blame rested for their team’s loss, the two went toe-to-toe outside the Boardroom, yelling about credentials, the word “sweetie,” and whether a case was closed or not while Amanda the receptionist looked on with a mix of horror and fascination and interpreter Jack Jason tried his best to keep up, In the end, Star was fired, but not before Donald Trump could tell us all that “I think gayness is wonderful.”

My full recap will up soon, but in the meantime, tell is what you think. Did NeNe wimp out by leaving? Was there any point to bringing La Toya back even though she was never going to make the finals anyway? And is there anything wrong with the word sweetie? Hit the message boards and let us know. when do we fire trump?

    • Stacie

      Nice.

    • anne

      Good question!

    • Reaja

      NENE = DIRTY GHETTO TRAMMMP

      • princesspr

        Wow!

      • Becca

Lol!! … and a quitter to boot!

      • Caramel

Who cares if Nene quit. For Trump it’s all about the ratings. Nene got paid very well for those weeks on the Apprentice. More than what some of us make in a year. Why do people always call people what they are.

      • YouBetcha

Wow! Three blacks gone in one show?!?!!? When will the Three Clown Posse (Sharpton, Faratkhan, Jackson) show up waving their ubiquitous race cards?

      • Joe Strummer

I like how Trunp brings the old “You can’t quit ’cause you’re fired” routine back to TV. If someone quits they can’t be fired. How hilarious. Is Ne Ne going to go on a talk show now and say “You can’t fire me because I quit”?

      • I MCDANIEL

MONEY AND CLOTHES DON’T MAKE THE WOMAN. THE DIRTY DEALINGS OF STAR MADE HER THE TRUE “GHETTO” CHARACTER.

      • myposterior

Nene was leaking all the way, she did not have her birth certificate to prove the thrash she was.

    • cole

NOW please!!! Firing Star, the most competent player, was the worst decision Trump could have made. I agree that there was not enough integration of the fact that you can now buy OnStar for your older car in the ad, but THE ONLY REASON there was even a short mention of that fact at the end of the ad was that Star insisted on it! Meatloaf made the bad creative choices and edited the ad poorly.

As for TRUMP and Apprentice, I will probably stop watching the show and he has lost my vote for president.

      • Hateneneandstar

Nice for you to stop by, star!!! Only star likes herself.

      • gale

I’m glad Star is FINALLY gone. She was manipulative and backstabbing, and full of herself with that holier than thou attitude. Good riddance. John Rich should win it all.

      • fmackle

Wow, this is how you choose your president? You would have voted for him except then he fired Star Jones? With people like you no wonder Obama got elected!

      • geez

Truth is stranger than fiction. Cole is not going to vote for Trump because he fired Star Jones on a reality TV show. And on top on that he might not watch the show anymore. oh oh oh. I can’t stand it.

    • I just lol’d

Did you hear Star tell MeatLoaf “You don’t have THE CREDENTIALS to argue with me”

      LOL…I couldn’t make that sh*t up…lol

      • Becca

It was a true bizarre world!!

      • geez

Star doesn’t even know what a condescending witch she is. She wanted to end the arguement because she was LOSING the arguement, to Meatloaf, hahahahha. Better not go back to law Star.

      • I MCDANIEL

She is a typical elitist. She’s so busy worshiping herself she hasn’t noticed that no one is impressed by her snooty, superior personality.

    • Lilith

I’m pretty sure he’s fired himself over his birther bs. He made himself a laughing stock LOL. He had no choice to fire himself.

      • YouBetcha

Lilith? Wasn’t that the frigid b!tch from Cheers? The only laughing stock was BOBO who bent over and took it from Trump. Weak coward.

    • Jerri

Yeah , preferably out of a cannon , into the sun.

    • Ron Jeremy

When you can find someone else that can bring in 60 mil for NBC like he does.

  • Nellie Reed

Even tonight it was reported as Meatloaf melt down, Mr. Trump to me I have been right beside of you on every decission you have made, but not to night. Meat Loaf should have gone. I do not want a high strung over active person on my team. Only a level headed individual for me. He has shown TOO many outburst, and deserved to be fired. Too short temp. You know that. I am backing you for President because of your level head, but this really threw me for a loop.

    • motherlarisa

PLEASE…before you vote, get an education. This was painful to read.

      • Cheekee

        Totally agree with your comment.
@Nellie Reed, you need lessons in grammar lessons. Or at least read back what you’ve written before posting! Jeeez.

      • Reaja

Read YOUR OWN post back, Cheekee.
        “lessons in grammar lessons”?
        Great advice, simpleton.
        Pathetic.

      • YouBetcha

Tell that to the sheep that voted for the ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ fraud in the White House.

    • freckleface

What the heckare you rambling about??

    • whatever

Star changed the end of the commercial and then tried to put the blame on MeatLoaf . And then all the hysterics about being called sweetie … She was just waiting to pounce on the loaf in the boardroom but everybody was wise to her this time around .
Can’t wait to see the whole recap ; there was a lot of comic material here .

      • Paco

Whatever, your partially correct. Star added a very important voice over to the script, and My I say that Marlee also wanted meatloaf fired. But, someone how all the attention gets shifted to Ms. Esquire. All I know is that when your as sharp as a tack, they love through you dead weight. Star keep on keepin on.

      • cole

Meat Loaf is an ass and should never have called Star sweetie. Also, Star didn’t try to blame Meat for the lack of brand messaging, it was HIS fault! The only reason there was any kind of messaging @ the end of the ad was because Star insisted on it!

      • Tim

Meatloaf wanted to end with a shot of the product box- star switched it to the OnStar logo. While the voiceover was good, switching out the product image to a logo was not.

    • Yvette hawkins

      Totally agree!!

    • absolutejoan

I liked your post. Your mistake was in praising the Donald. (I admire him, too) That brought on the put downs you received on your’grammer’ In posting land picking at someone’s grammer is the last refuge of a scoundral.

      • Carolinajoy

        grammar

      • beevs

        yeah, and scoundREL.

clearly only dumbasses support the old dump trump.

    • geez

Nellie, google Trump’s temper, I am betting you won’t find him too even tempered, uhmmm, maybe you will find him to be the opposite of level headed.

  • Carmelita Hammond

MeatLoaf should have never beaten Star Jones. He is not passionate and loveable, he is retarded. What grown man cries throughout a show & throws tantrums for no reason. He gets to tell others how he’ll take them down then come up smelling like a victim.

    • motherlarisa

Nice to use the word retarded. Try acting older than a two-year-old and realize how inappropriate that word is in this context.

      • ty

        Motherlarisa is a retard

        My cousin’s boss’s stepdaughter’s
best friend’s pet cat Rococco is a retard as well. She’s always tossing her own salad.

      • drayandmeasmom

Omg…please get over this crap in regards to the word retarded. I have never felt the need to comment on blogs and whatnot, but I am so sick and tired of you people acting like retard is not part of the English language! Just cause someone uses it to say something is retarded does not mean they are talking about u and people u know or even all the “slower” people in society. Face it, some people are slow and can’t help it but it’s just a harsh fact of life– some folks are SLOW. Just like Trump said tonite, all this political correct nonsense is becoming too much, as someone might get “offended” .Its just, dare I say it, retarded to think that way. People like you must hate the first ammendment. Its so sad to me. Some things that we encounter in life are indeed retarded and you word police people need to get a life and realize that no one cares about your individual situation enough to stop using a word that you people have branded as “hate speech”, especially if that word can be used in a way that appropriately and accurately describes something or a situation. Jeezus christ. I bet that one upset u too..lol at u people.

      • Bigone

Ya.. I doubt it wouldn’t bother you if you had a brother, sister, or child who was developmentally disabled. The “R” word hurts people with disabilities. Just like the “n” word is also part of the English language, it’s nit right. So you ignorant people who use the word, go sit on rusty nail!

      • Michael Gary Scott

You don’t call retarded people retards. It’s bad taste. You call your friends retards when they’re acting retarded.

      • geez

If Trump isn’t PC then why is the deaf woman still on the show? And isn’t she still on the show because she is deaf? Any other person would have been fired last night having done the job she did, which basically was doing nothing. It was predestined that she and Rich would be the final two, at least John deserves to be at the finish. Marlee is just skating by.

    • B.B King

Meatloaf crying, and worrying about the end result of that money, and the children of his charity shows his caring. I could only hope to find a cause so important to cause me to feel as he does. Hats off to loaf, he does wut far to little of our sex seem to do, wear his heart on his sleeve. As for the anger, he was fighting for his position on the show, in the same position you or i or any others would do the same. Star was a clever, minipulative person, but she screwed up in the end

    • cole

Woot!!! Meat is a retard and a child… I can’t believe Trump kept the idiot who repeatedly lost his cool and fired the one who was always calm, controlled, and collected.

    • Paco

      drayandmeasmom your so right retard.

  • Kim

NeNe really wimped out by quitting, but I’m glad to see her gone. She was so negative and argumentative.

    • Stacie

Just sucks for those other ladies and contestants that were fired when going against Nene. She knocked out a lot of people, because Trump loved all the drama and wanted to keep her around for it. I actually have no doubt in my mind that if Nene were still around that Star wouldn’t have been fired, because NBC and Trump and The Apprentice people would have loved to see a showdown of Nene versus Star. They should have fired both Star and/or Nene several times, but didn’t, then all of a sudden as soon as Nene leaves Star is gone. Nah. That doesn’t sit right.

      • freckleface

I’m still trying to figure out how NeNe qualified as a “celebrity” contestant! NBC must have really scraped the bottom of the trash heap for this one!

      • Faye

I agree. No way should Star have been fired. Trump simply had no more use for her. Drama or should I say “Shows Over Folks”.

  • M. Thomas

Normally the project manager gets the boot, but in this case it appears both counselors were targeting in on Star Jones. It was apparent they wanted her out so Marly and Cowboy John will be the last two standing and Marly will win. NeNe was just to ghetto and Donald had rec’d alot of negative comments about the show.

    • MrsDolly

I’m glad Star got fired. She was PM on at least two losing tasks and hung on through manipulation and throwing someone else under the bus. To quote In Sync, “Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye.”

      • Sarah

        *Nsync

      • Gina

I agree with you. Star is an overrated lawyer who should have left a long time ago. Through manipulation of other members of her team all she woked on was branding, branding, branding. When they wuld loose due to branding it was someone elses fault NOT HERS!

      • Sash

Thank you! That’s exactly the point LaToya should have made before she was fired the first time. I do not understand how Star could be so pompous, condensending and obviously manipulative and still get her team mates to throw others under the bus. She must have self image issues. I have never heard a well educated professional spend so much time talking about how well educated and proffesional they are.

      • selam

Lol GINA about star and branding that was funny. I’m happy if one of the johns win.

      • cole

Uhhhh nooo way… Star was only PM on one losing task, and if you remember she was PM on a top winning fundraising task as well too.

      • princesspr

Thank you…Glad someone else nothing that as well.

Star’s face when DTrump was complementing La Toya was priceless.

    • Paco

I so agree with you. They have this all scripted and exploit situations for ratings. Although I felt it was a toss up on Meatloaf and Star going, I got mad when Trump was in their business and not focusing on why ASAP lost the task. Trump is an Idiot.

    • whatever

The shows are taped , except for the final hire , so Trump can’t know what the public opinion is of the shows .

  • Nadine

The person who should have been fired was Marlee, she did absolutely nothing and went along with Meatloaf crazy ideas. Even if Star was in charge of brand messaging, Marlee and Meatloaf were the ones editing, they should have had a picture of the box at the very beginning.
Star, a ruthless debator that she is, exited with much class.

    • crimethink

She was an expert at pushing people’s buttons. First Latoya, then Nene, now Meatloaf…but it backfired this time as Trump finally figured out that if someone can’t get along with anyone, the problem probably isn’t with everyone else.

      • Paco

WRONG! This case was Meatloaf playing on that “stereotypical” image of Stars. He new what He was doing when picking that fight when the ladies came down against him, he figured I will go after Star, he could have very well did the same to Marley. It’s a scripted game, that fun to watch but predictable at times.

      • Faye

Oh please! If that was the case then he should have gotten rid of Gary and NeNe much earlier in the season.

      • Faye

Oh please! If this was the case then he should have fired Gary and Nene much earler in the season.

      • Carla

You nailed it. She was an expert at pushing peoples buttons. She is such a manipulative back stabber. I will give her credit for being smart and hard working; but turns on anyone who gets in her way. Nene was too emotional, but there is some truth to she assessment of Star.

      • Sash

Star is not that smart. Every one of her ideas failed and hurt her team. This show made her look bad.

    • Emmie

Star wouldn’t know class if it bit her in her pompous a**.

      • Darcy

Star jones has always and will always be a classless, pompous arrogant woman. She is such a snob. Glad to see her gone!

      • judy

Amen! And that gross scar on her chest from her weight loss surgery she was showing in that low cut dress? And all that cellulite on her arms when they showed her outside the elevator? Please, that was the first time in her life that Star Jones didn’t like a big piece of meatloaf.

      • Paco

Judy, Judy, Judy! All of the content of this show and you focus on personal attacks of a person’s body. I so understand people like you.

      • drayandmeasmom

I agree with paco judy. U should get a grip on life and stop attacking star’s body. While I am no fan of star jones (or hater for that matter), talking about her body like that is weak and lowdown. All that does is make you appear to be really lame…

      • @Judy

That scar on Star’s CHEST is from HEART SURGERY she received a year ago. You DO recall she’s representing the American Heart Association, right?

        *scratches head*

    • Kevin

Star should have left Meat Loaf alone and focused on Marlee and stressed that as a PM she let someone else be in charge and dictate how the message was portrayed. Star actually pushed hard to have the small piece of the real message that was included via voice over at the end, but the Trumps seemed to feel she had creative control and Marlee, not wanting to be on the hot seat, didn’t jump in to the rescue. Marlee had no control over either of them and let Meat be in charge of himself and Star. She should have been fired, period. – I do find it really interesting that the judges seemed to be targeting Star and no one else, typically the donut joke creator would have been fired or the PM for allowing it.

      • Ann

I absolutely agree 100%. Well stated.

      • geez

You’re right on the money Kevin, why is Marlee still there? Because no one, except NeNe will say anything against the deaf woman. The only thing she has ‘done’ is know a lot of people with money who donated it during the fund raising challenge when she was PM. She is a remarkable actress, but I haven’t seen any remarkable business skills, so she is either skating because of her reputation as an actress or because no one wants to attack the deaf person.

  • art

    NeNe is a coward

    • mama

she shouldn’t even have been on the show – she’s not a celebrity – she’s a housewife. people on reality shows are not celebrities

      • TKW

People watch the show and give the show ratings, that is what she is known for, that makes her a celebrity.

  • boo

trump should’ve fired crybaby meatloaf. i agree, when do we fire trump? he stinks like rotten eggs…

    • meme

i agree – he is not a strong player. they should have fired him the paint episode

  • crimethink

Meatloaf is an older guy, I’m sure he said “sweetie” out of habit. While Star’s masterful attempts at avoiding responsibility for anything and painting everyone around her as moral monsters when a firing is on the line, finally backfired, you have to admit that Marlee was a terrible project manager…she was barely there.

Also I can’t believe the execs didn’t mention that annoying guitar riff in the background of Backbone’s commercial. Someone needs to tell John Rich that more guitar is not always better.

    • Jason

Meat Loaf actually called Gary Busey “sweetie” in one of the earlier episodes when Gary was being difficult and Meat Loaf was trying to get through to him, and Gary didn’t have an issue with it.

    • Joe Strummer

      More Cowbell!!

  • karen

I must have been out of the room for a minute and
missed NeNe leaving. No one knows why? If not, that
is classless and looks bad for her.
But I am SO glad someone finally stood up to Star’s
royal highness aura. “You’ll need my credentials
for me to talk to you”, or something close to that
is what she said when MeatLoaf challenged her lie.
    She is gone. FINALLY!

    • Fog cue

Star’s credentials were a canned ham & some pineapple rings.

      • drublood

Ha hah! I am still picking myself up off the floor! YOU hit the nail on the head!

      • drayandmeasmom

Even though I just told someone to lay of stars body, I have to admit that u made me laugh with that one!

      • cole

Star’s credentials are a law degree (not easy to obtain!) And extensive professional experience.

      • Kathryn

Yes Cole, but just because she has those does not give her the right to walk away from someone during a conversation. Nor does it give her the right to hold up her hand and say “enough” to a grown man. It doesn’t matter what “credentials” she has she had no right to treat him that way.

    • @Karen

The ‘credential’ comment Star made to Meatloaf was inappropriate and below the belt. It wasn’t THAT serious. Like Trump’s son said, there were reasons that each of the team members could have been fired, Star was the lucky one.

  • south paw

It’s about time that conceited piece of crap got the boot! Glad she is gone, she will NOT be missed by anyone in this house!

  • Russ

Star has been coasting all year and anytime the blame got too close to her she had no problem trying to pin the blame on someone other than herself.Tonight she clearly wasthe reason her team lost and well as Mr.Trump said….”Star, youre fired!!”

    • ac

Russ, you’re the voice of reason. I agree conpletely.

      • ac

        and I also agree completely

    • Obama

      Well handled, sir!

  • Cindy Jacobs

All Hail! The wicked witch is gone. So glad Star Jones finally got put in her place

  • tammy banks

im happy that star was fired. she said to meatloaf that she doesnt argue with people unless they have the same credentials as her?!what a rude, powertripping women.

    • ikagirl

I have to agree. I know quite a few lawyers, and not one of them would act that way. And as to her reaction to being called sweetie, she should have let that go . I’ve been called that for years by my older customers, and they don’t mean anything by it.

      • Paco

Well, Obviously you don’t know enough lawyers. I supposed if he had said, b*** then that would be okay too. The code word for you is….

  • Emmie

So disgusted that NeNe left. I get her frustration with Star, but she let down her team. But in the end, finally, the moment I’ve been waiting for all season. The condescending Star is gone! Bye Sweetie.

    • JEO

Star is gone.Long overdue. She is not a team player and would be a detriment to any team as an apprentice. There is really on one solid team player left that puts a tremendous amount of energy into “trying” to do their best, down to earth ,has no problem showing emotions, doesn’t have to seek attention by wearing specific attire and is excellent in the board room. Forgetting the seatbelt by John and Lil john was a deal breaker, much more of an issue than going with the donut shop idea from Meatloaf. Marli, although capable, does not come across as a hard worker or a strategist. So therefore, “Meatloaf you’re hired.”
